This would've been bigger news had they agreed to do this superfight 3-5 years ago.
I'm more excited about boxing returning to network television.

Hope Pacquiao knocks Mayweather out.

As great as it is that this fight is finally happening, is the massive price gouge necessary?
People will buy the fight at regular price. 90 dollars for a boxing PPV is beyond stupid.

Don't you get it? This is boxing's last dream match. They're gonna gouge the hell out of it. Doesn't make it any more enticing, however. I mean, after this, boxing has a LOT to do in order to get back to relevancy. I mean, with PPVs slowly drying up, you cannot have prize boxers fight tomato cans anymore, and a Pacquiao vs. Margharito fight isn't worthy of a $70 fee. Like I said, I'm more excited about boxing coming back to network TV on NBC more than this.

I honestly don't care anymore. I would of been interested a few years ago but now? Nah.

I've been wanting to see this for years, but there is absolutely no way that I'm spending close to a hundred bucks to watch it.

I'll be totally honest, I will believe this fight happens when both are in the ring on May 2nd with a referee and the bell for Round 1 is rung.

Yeah a hundred dollars really is way too much especially in 2015 when people can just find streams on the night. Having a party, getting a few buddies together and each throwing 10 dollars in to make it 50 is probably worth it but a hundred is just too much.

Where ever you live in the world as long as its in a large urban area there will be a big Filipino community within a 30 min bus journey. I strongly recommend you head there and find a packed bar to watch it in. The atmosphere will be off the charts and if Manny wins its an all night (or all day depending where you live) party.

Man, they've lost their muthaf***ing minds if they think I'm paying $99.95 to watch a freaking Boxing match in 2015.
It's gonna do big business though, no doubt about it. Glad that they got tired of leaving all that money on the table by waiting so long to do the fight.

5 years too late. Pacquiao needed this fight so badly because of how debt ridden he is. No wonder he accepts everyone of Floyd's demands.
If this fight happens before the Cotto fight, I think Pacquiao has a decent shot, but since then? Absolutely not. I wouldn't even pick Pac against Maidana at this point. Floyd's too good (still) and his style is the perfect countermeasure to Pacquaio's tactics, and it always has been. If this fight had a height of his powers Pac-Man, I'd still give the edge to Floyd.
I am going to watch. I want Floyd to finally get beat. Preferably sparked out, but the realist in me just can't see it. Floyd's bread and butter is anathema to Pacquiao's style. I think Pac starts out on fire and burns himself out by the fourth or fifth and Floyd just picks him apart from then on out for a typical boring Mayweather decision. Floyd trains like no one in history has trained so I can't even see a situation where he underestimates Manny and loses because of lack of focus. The lead up to the fight and the pomp of it all will be better than the actual bout.

And with this, hopefully boxing will finally die a little and reform to something worthwhile.

As others have said, if this were five years ago I'd watch. But in 2015 both guys are last their best, with Pac a lot closer to the empty tank than Floyd.

They are out their cotton pickin minds if they think i'm paying 100 dollars on a PPV based on one fight. It finally happens but I expect a somewhat entertaining but typical Floyd fight. Manny is going to come out aggressive prob the first 6 rounds and Floyd will just weather the storm and outbox him the rest. As said before it's knowledge Manny needs the money so that's why he agreed to Floyd terms. I see a 60/40 split which still gets good money for everyone involved.

Thing is, I see most people denouncing the $100 HD price tag, but having studied economics, I know that they wouldn't charge that price if there wasn't the demand at that price. They know that fans are prepared to pay that much to see the fight, even if it is later than it should have been. I can also see a major crackdown on illegal streams for this one too, though some will continue to pop up.

Manny is going to beat his ass and still lose on a bogus decision but I'll be watching. It's like Chinese Democracy all over again you've just got to see it go down.

Cinemark in town usually show's Mayweather's fights. I'll just got there and plunk down ten bucks and watch it on the big screen.
