The deal is signed. Tickets between $1,500 to $7,500. And according to what I've heard, only 500 tickets will be available to the public, with the rest being handled by the various parties involved. Yes, 500. And they are expecting a $74 million gate. For one match. I'm so rooting for this Bout to Knock the Other Guy Out to end with a Pacquiao first-round KO for shits and giggles. "A congenital heart defect has apparently felled Mayweather moments before he could step into the ring."

Looks like everybody in the industry is picking Pacquaio to win this. Using the UFC picking logic, usually you bet against the guy all the talking heads say is "The greatest opponent he's ever faced."
Mayweather by decision.

Anyone know the betting line? I'm at work and can't look it up.
I'm picking Floyd by a lopsided decision.

What the hell would these numbers be like if these guys actually fought in their primes when everyone wanted to see this fight? The first million-dollar ring-side seat?

I got to spend a year+ in The Philippines. More Filipinos would be ecstatic if Manny won than Americans who would be happy if Floyd won. I am cheering for maximum happiness. Of course, in my house, I'll have to hear from Mrs. Efarns about how the Filipino beat The American, so if Floyd wins, it won't be all bad.

The amount of money involved in this is obscene. Some people don't have food, ya know?

I've got Floyd on points, personally. Movement is too good.

truth be told then what is the next big fight When was the next fight when Jack Dempsy retired? When was the next fight when Sugar Ray Robinson retired? When was the next fight when Mayweather retired the first time? Boxing is cyclical. Once this Celebrity Boxing cash-grab between a 36-year-old and a 38-year-old gets out of the way and boxing continues to thrive on broadcast television instead of overhyped pay-per-views, the sport will shift back into new stars bringing boxing into the new era.

Hell back then MMA wasn't around Neither was full size Krackle Bars. Now, we have both. MMA is as much of a danger to boxing as it is to pro-wrestling. There's some crossover, but really it's an entirely different thing.
