What a worthless character.
It's the same thing every time. He shows up all fat and washed up, cuts a bullshit cornball promo that no one on Earth could possibly take as sincere, and then has a garbage wrestling match where he bleeds a lot for absolutely no reason.
ENOUGH.

What TNA needs to realize is that bringing a guy back from the 90's say, once a year would be fine. You want to have a rising star pin Tommy Dreamer in a 15 minute bloodbath once a year? Fine. You want to bring Al Snow out once a year and have him lose to a rookie? Also fine.
The issue is when these guys are treated as main event level stars and/or are appearing every week. Nostalgia is good once in awhile but once you rely on it like TNA does it becomes annoying.

Needs to be banned from wrestling all together.
I'd call him a wrestling relic but I won't. Relics actually have some value.

I use too like Dreamer but now I can't stand him in the ring. The whole I'm the same guy from ECW in the 90s you all love now fatter and older but I still love the business and I thank you fans for making me a star. Now I must try too be that star and bleed in a pointless match that had no story behind it.

I've said my piece multiple times here on this forum, and it bears repeating: Tommy Dreamer has no value anymore. He's a tired old man who doesn't look like a wrestler and brings down every segment he's apart of because of his tired promos about ECW and "The boys in the back". Beating Dreamer means nothing and losing to him is bad for your career. He gladly bad-mouths WWE in promos yet is happy to take a cheque from them when they send one his way by having yet another ECW DVD. He's a con-artist and a hypocrite. He's everything he claimed to despise through his career and he needs to go away.

Try tried banning him. They locked him outside, but Dreamer just ate the door.

I like Tommy well enough, but I don't need a promo by him. They should be giving promo time to newer guys, Dreamer's told any tale he would by now. He's one of the few guys they can afford, fine, but no reason he needs a promo, and no reason he should be bleeding for them. I am actually growing to prefer WWE's route of soft-banning blood.

It's weird, whenever I see Dreamer do stuff outside the ring, he seems like a funny, nice and interesting guy. On television he's pretty much TNA's Big Show in terms of overexposure and weepy promos.

I'm okay with Dreamer. He's big enough to add something resembling name value to TNA, but he's not too big that they'd book him as a main event star above the younger guys.

My main problem is that the dumbass keeps cutting himself in the ring and takes so many needless bumps, believing this is what the fans want. And for the people who relish in this... f*** you.
For God's sake, aren't you aware of the health hazards of blood mixing?!
As a person, I can listen to him, and even enjoy him in a DVD or shoot interview, but the guy needs to stop wrestling. Period. He's a remainder of a bygone era of circumstance that doesn't understand that wrestling is all about adaption to the times.

Dreamer has been useless since Raven left the first time, his "I love ECW" thing was lame as hell in the 90s, he's completely obsolete now. Go back into the box Tommy.

To be serious: Dreamer is, to me at least, living proof thst Heymsn was correct when he said the hardcore style is outdated. Hardcore worked in the original EVW because, for tge time, it was something new and different. And it also helped cover the general weakness of guys like Dreamer or Sandman between the ropes. But fans today are used to a more fast paced and athletic style of wrestling, hardcore just looks slow and full by comparison. Even moreso when done by a guy who is years past his prime and has a lifetime of wear on his body. And fans today are also a lot more conscious about the dangers of certain spots in such matches, which makes the more cringe worthy and awe inspiring for today's audience. Dreamer just doesn't have the versatility to adapt.

Well, even if he can't do much of anything, Dreamer can still adapt in some capacity as a babyface authority figure or a manager... or at least be the voice of reason (which is what he's the furthest from). Having him keep coming out and doing all this stuff over and over again doesn't do wonders for his legacy as a performer. What a worthless character. It's the same thing every time. WOOOOOOOOO!!! Don't get me started. That TNA run resulted in the only post I made that got deleted by the mods. Ironically, it was about Flair's $500 phone call service.

But if it wasn't for Tommy Dreamer, we would have about 47 less generic rips of Man In The Box, and that's not a world that I want to live in.
