Ok guys, I was wrong. He attacked Alex Riley. Owens is a total babyface.

Owens just continuing in his role of teller of truths and destroyer of lies. Explained himself perfectly well, told us how great Finn is but Riley had to go and say he'd never attack his friends like that because he is a man, pshaw, like anyone would ever believe Riley has friends. And to Owens credit, he stepped away and double checked before silencing the liar and removing him from his pulpit.

After next week my Wednesday night gym classes will be over so I'll finally be able to watch NXT live with you guys again. Until then, I had to watch the show after the fact and take notes to share my thoughts with you.
The Brian Kendrick is shown in the preview thumbnail for this episode. Spoilers much?
I like the "NXT" chants to start the show. NXT is over, brother!
Those chants quickly turned to "TKO" chants as Hideo arrived to open this show. This crowd sure loves to chant things. The won't chant "BULL" though.
Oh god no Alex Riley is on commentary. Cue the Michael Scott no.gif.
oooo dissension between Dillenger and Jordan. That makes me happy. I'm a fan of both guys and I'm glad they're finally being put in an angle.
I think Corey Graves has a crush on Becky Lynch but doesn't want to admit it. Perhaps she rejected him in the past and that's why he's so spiteful to her. That's my theory.
I was surprised Becky won her match against Bailey - especially by submission, but I like it.
Enjoyed Kevin Owens on commentary. I really loved how he humbled Riley with the "you were never a champion" comment.
Balor vs Kendrick was OK. Balor is obviously a big star in the making. It's fun to watch his growth as a performer.
YES! Beat up Riley some more! Every episode of NXT should end with random violence against Alex Riley.

Jason Jordan abandoning Dillinger must mean we'll finally see the debut of the Shoot Nation faction on NXT TV in the spring. Really excited for that.

Awesome show as usual.
- Tyler Breeze taking a selfie and realizing he's f***ed was a fine display of professional wrestling.
- Banner night for Tye Dillinger. Taunting the Mexican Kalisto with a Chinese bow and loses his tag partner for being a dick. The split seems really out of nowhere though.
- I like Baron Corbin but I'm starting to feel like his entrance is just too rehearsed for a guy who's supposed to be this nonchalant street fighter.
- So happy to have Brian Kendrick back, that video package was great and I hope they get really weird with his character like he was before.
- The camera guy having to ask Jason Jordan why he walked out was pretty stupid, as was Jason Jordan playing coy like there's some big mystery to it, it was pretty obvious why he walked out.
- Bayley/Becky Lynch was their best singles match yet, I like that now that Bayley's decided to get mean she gets matched up constantly with a chick who seemingly doesn't care if she dies. She's still not mean enough.
- Great main event although the Riley/Owens riff raff was distracting. In a good way though, Kevin Owens should be a buzzkill in every room he enters. I loved the tension that he brought to the table, like everything he said was this really heinous or threatening thing that brought on half a minute of dead air. From referring to Kendrick's apparent leg injury as a "gift" to looking Phillips in the eyes and asking why he thinks Owens is strange.
People rag on Riley a lot (and rightfully so) but he was awesome here. He sounded genuinely disgusted with the way Kevin Owens treated Zayn, and I loved the tension after Owens brought up that Riley hasn't won any titles. The inflection in his voice after that really felt like that cut into him something fierce, I loved the moment of pause where you could tell he was torn between being professional or throwing hands. Extremely well done character building and if the idea is to get Riley back in the ring that was perfect.

I really enjoyed the finish to the Becky/Bayley match. It showed off Bayley's heart to fight through the injured shoulder and also showed off Becky's ruthlessness and quick thinking. It also made sense that Bayley tapped with the final shoulder lock as it looked real. She should tap out from the immediate pain. It always bothered me when Del Rio was around as guys would be in the actual armbar for like ten seconds. The tension should not be in the actual hold, it should be in the submission attempt. These girls just got it tonight.

If they take Riley off commentary there's no real reason to hate the guy. Smh

- Sick Kick is a good move, but i just don't see it as a signature, let alone a finisher. Guess i'll wait for the G2S. - Breeze's face when he saw Itami - Goddamn, is there a theme song more generic than Tye and Jordan's? - Great match between B&B. Surprised Becky beat Bayley clean with a submission, it does look brutal. - The Brian Kendrick! The jacket! The goofy dance! YES! - Pretty good main event. And of course Feel good moment of the year

Oh no, Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan can't break up!

SOOOOOO Happy to see The Brian Kendrick back. I still wish he was on the main roster somewhere but I'm happy to have him back at all. Hearing his music and seeing his entrance again was wonderful.
Owens was awesome at the announce table, not just for the end result taking out Riley, but his plain speak was refreshing. Then Owens glaring at Riley after saying his "I'm a man.." comment was equally awesome. I legit felt uncomfortable, like when you see two dudes in a bar start crap and you're like "oh no something's gonna happen". I want more. I wanted Riley to get powerbombed on the announce table, but oh well.
Quality main event, that was overshadowed by the commentary, but it was telling a story so it wasn't mindless drivel like we see on the main shows.
Glad to see the Breeze / Hideo feud is still going. Breeze's 'oh shit' face was priceless. Call this guy up already. He's ready.
I half paid attention to the divas match as I find Becky Lynch insufferable. I did see the end, brutal submission.
Can we just call Kalisto up so I don't have to see a bored guy in Sin Cara cosplay anymore. He's clearly not happy.

They're still no doing a good job of making Kevin a heel. At this point, I have to believe it's by design. Riley brings up his family and implies he's not a man - it's still wrong but even beyond my personal dislike for Riley, it's not the black and white heeling you'd get on the main roster. I see why he'd retaliate given his character.
Bayley and Becky had a good, clean match. It wasn't spotty or anything. Just well-wrestled and a hot crowd in all of seven minutes. There's another blow to the 'twenty minutes for women every week' false claim.
I hope Kendrick returns. I know they did a hype video but he was overshadowed even in his own return match. That seemed to be by design as well.

That was a good but short episode There is two spots i loved in the show the one with tye dillinger when they tell him "because you suck" and the one in the entrance of bull dempsey when they play the "bull" thing, a guy gets up and says to the camera "bullshit".

Great stuff with the Itami/Breeze segment, and Bayley/Becky. Didn't quite think Bálor/Kendrick clicked, but Bálor hit his stuff sweet. And as for Owens destroying Riley, how can he ever be a heel again?

Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan broke up. Yeah, that was a thing that happened. How can we invest in that when we haven't been given a reason to care about either of them at all? Something something value. Something lost.

And as for Owens destroying Riley, how can he ever be a heel again? It's the lacking match with Finn and the fact that his appearance was used to push Owens/Riley that I think Kendrick won't be used nearly as often as Rhyno. It's a shame and I hope I'm wrong. We didn't see much of what he could do at all.
