Figured this was worth looking back on with his recent appearance in NXT. It really was just a matter of time before he worked in TNA-the guy has worked everywhere! And honestly, I'd say he did about as best as anyone could since, after all...its TNA. The bodyguard/enforcer role is one he seems to have been born to play, and he played it well while in TNA. And I suppose a feud with Abyss was inevitable as well, although it certainly never delivered to its full potential-lest we forget, Abyss wasn't walking wreckage at the time and was actually capable of putting on good matches. I'm actually surprised he didn't get a brief run with the TNA title, but its not like it was overly important for him either. Overall I'd argue he is one of the few talents TNA used the best they could.

Rhino was champ in TNA, at least once.

He did fit very well into his role and basically didn't blended in and didn't seem out of place which is all you can ask for when a guy comes in for you. He's almost the opposite of Dreamer in the sense that they come from the same "age of wrestling" but Rhino is the quiet enforcer while Dreamer is the weepy bleeding heart (Ughh not intentional). TNA needed more guys like him where you fit into a role and excel at that role.

You're absolutely right. I can't recall any match where he actually defended it before he lost it back.

Rhino's TNA run was awesome. He was given the opportunity to put on great matches on a consistent basis. His feuds with AJ Styles, Christian, and James Storm really stood out as highlights on the cards. In my opinion, Rhino's best work was in TNA.

I think that was the time he was injured picking up his son's toy chest or something, wasn't it? Related: I think he was s'posed to job to Jarrett.

Rhino was consistently good in TNA and I definitely feel it was his best run.
Hell, he had a jog with the NWA championship. He wasn't suited for that, though, and was quickly placed where he should have been from the beginning: in the midcard and occasionally upper midcard. He was a solid hand and a good addition to the company.

I'm not sure about the toy chest thing. It could very well be possible that Nash picked up the toy chest and hurt his back which caused chest pains. What I do know is that Nash has said in the past that he's incredibly weary when it comes to chest pains (A heart attack killed his father I believe) so if he legitimately had chest pains I totally understand why he sat out Bound For Glory.
