Some of these might be wrong, but lets look at some of the pro wrestlers of Italian descent. Some pretty big hitters- Bruno Sammartino- Fully Italian. Was born in Pizzoferrato, Abruzzo, Italy. Gorilla Monsoon- Robert James Marella was his real name. Hulk Hogan- Real name Terry Bollea. According to ethnicelebs- His ancestry was Italian, Irish, English, Scottish, and French. His mother was born in Panama but her ethnicity was English and French. Macho Man Randy Savage- Real name Randy Mario Poffo. Italian American father and Jewish mother. John Cena- Reportedly has some Italian heritage, but also I have heard Albanian, Irish, English etc. Roman Reigns- The guy we love to hate at the moment is half Samoan and half Italian. A guy I always liked was Dominic DeNucci. To me he was like a more entertaining version of Bruno.

If by greatest we factor their draw power and not necessarily their technical abilities, Antonino Rocca and Bruno's the only one that comes even close to him. (I don't count Hogan, he's too far removed imho).

Santino had a fairly decent career and was the most successful at making his heritage his gimmick.
Checked Enzo Amore and it turns out his real name is Eric Arndt which sounds more German to me.
