...they had an extra hurdle on the finish line, so you have a jumping finish?
Have they tried this? Is there a reason there isn't a final hurdle on the finish line?

It would be way better if they had to outrun a tiger that was chasing each competitor. WTF Olympics!?

Electrify the hurdles so when you touch one they explode in a shower of sparks and burning flesh

As a man who ran the 110 hurdles in high school, I read your suggestions and have come to a conclusion: You are all sick f***s.

Nah, turn it into a marathon. Every 10 feet for 27 miles you have to clear a hurdle. Miss one hurdle and you have to start over.

It would be way better if they had to outrun a tiger that was chasing each competitor. WTF Olympics!? A tiger might lose interest after it had to jump over two or three hurdles. You'd need something that could fit under the crossbars of the hurdles... ..like rabid badgers.

What would the difference be? If the hurdle is on the finish line they would still cross the line stumbling over it.

I think they should have variable height hurdles and the competitors get to choose how high each one is. The only rule being that the average height of them all has to end up the same as a standard hurdle.
Either that or just embed the hurdles in the ground so that when a person trips it's much more amusing.

I'm on bored with variable height hurdles, but they should be remote controlled and the remote given to someone with a wicked sense of humor and likes watching people trip.
