Cuz I seriously don't know the answer.
Was it when Cena had a spinny one? (I liked that belt btw).
Benoit vs MVP?
Has the WWE version never really mattered?
What say you?

When Ryder won it.
Shit, I remember when MSG chanted for Ryder during a Rock promo.

Fast Lane 2015. It was defended in the semi main event.

Fast Lane 2015. It was defended in the semi main event. Recently it has mattered ever since Sheamus won it from Ambrose. On Ambrose they seemed to have forgotten that he had it but on Sheamus it was defended regularly and with Rusev having it has been a big part of his story.

See, the US title is completely irrelevant to Cena/Rusev. It'd be the exact same feud without it.

Fast Lane 2015. It was defended in the semi main event. Was the title a major part of the feud build up? That plays a significant role in determining a belt's prestige.

Definitely Ryder v Ziggler. Hell, Ziggler also was defending against Riley and Mason Ryan.

Definitely Ryder v Ziggler. Hell, Ziggler also was defending against Riley and Mason Ryan. Ryder and ONLY Ryder made that belt matter. Riley was only there as a foil for Vickie and couldn't care less about the title. Hell, their match got bumped off the Summerslam card and made into a dark match. Mason Ryan was hardly a thing despite WWE's attempts to make him one. Ziggler is arguably one of the guys who started the trend of midcard champs jobbing and midcard champs being sucked into the uppercard and neglecting the title. Dolpj spent more time laying on his back for Sheamus and Orton every week and hovering around the Triple H stuff than and acknowledging that Zack existed.

I'd like to state that Ryder was over, not the us title so that doesn't count.

I'd like to state that Ryder was over, not the us title so that doesn't count. Also it felt like people were waiting for Ryder to "relieve" Ziggler of the U.S. Title so that he could be moved into the main event picture.

I'd like to state that Ryder was over, not the us title so that doesn't count. But you have to be over to be a champion...usually
