I always thought that the "Special Guest GM" crap was really just a lead-in for them to actually make Federline a GM. He'd book everyone's matches just fine, but he'd spend the entire time just ****ing with Cena. It'd be great as he constantly brought up how he's undefeated against John Cena.
Then it would've all lead to a good novelty match at Summerslam or something where it was John Cena vs. K-Fed with Nitro, Melina and any others who'd be in his entourage causing shenanigans. It would've been a spectacle match out the ass, but I think people would've paid money for it.

This is from Cyber Sunday 2006. K-Fed made a run-in and belt-shotted Cena, giving Booker T the win, and bragging rights as being the "Champion of Champions". (It was a triple threat between Cena, Bokker and Big Show.)

I put Federline in the same category as ICP.
Annoying as f***, a horrible role model and someone who really kinda lowers the bar for all wrestling fans, making all of us look worse by association. Love them or hate them though, they "get" wrestling, and understand what makes it work better than any far more respectable outsider ever could.

K-Fed was amazing on RAW. I remember laughing for a good 20 minutes because here's this guy, Mr. Britney Spears at the time, pinning Cena back when Super Cena was at it's peak.

It's amazing how things that are almost universally crapped on at the time gain a level of nostalgia after the fact.

I'd mark soooo hard if Kevin Federline came back.

K Fed worked so well because he's bizarro John Cena. Whereas Cena is the ultimate 'Diva' on 'Total Divas' with all that Nikki gets put through to be with him/live by his crazy rules, K Fed got lucky and bagged Britney Spears, then the most popular It Girl of the 21st century.
And they both are whiteboys with rapper thug tendencies, nobody else who's used Cena's "U Can't C Me" taunt did it with as much legitimacy as K Fed

I remember when Booker T called Kevin Federline's flop of an album "a treasure."

He really was Americas Most Hated and he sure did show it. Very heelish and totally would have enjoyed seeing him return back then

He had made a career-however short lived-of intentionally pissing people off at the time. His ring character essentially was his public persona of the time. But you could tell he was also a wrestling fan who relished the part. As an aside: the very first episode of Law and Order I ever worked on was an episode called "Fame." Its still amusing to me to this day, because they were very obviously spoofing Spears and Federline.
