One of the bigger issues I think the locker room, namely Benoit and Taker, had with Hassan was when he saw Eddie Guerrero use the Camel Clutch in a match and he flipped out at him because it was his finisher, without realizing that Gory Guerrero had invented the Camel Clutch. People took that as disrespectful.

Has Brock ever been taken to wrestler's court, or were the prosecutors too scared shitless to charge him with anything?

He turned up smiling and in a suit. The room cleared in a few seconds.

Has Brock ever been taken to wrestler's court, or were the prosecutors too scared shitless to charge him with anything? When he debuted on the main roster, Bradshaw's lips became attached to Lesnar's backside almost instantaneously according to Ivory. No wrestlers court, no making him carry bags for veterans or bitching about him paying dues and no taking cheap shots at him in dark matches as Bradshaw was prone to do.

I remember reading somewhere once that on a tour where Taker was part time and Cena was injured, the longest tenured wrestler (who is the judge by default) ended up being Kelly Kelly. The thought of that brings me great joy. I'm pretty sure it was a tour of some kind and she was the longest tenured person on one of the buses and not Wrestler's court.

Teddy Long was apparently sent to Wrestlers Court for dealing Viagra in the locker room. Daivari ribbed the heck out of Kip James in TNA once and it was decided that he didn't have enough pull to do that, leading to the most hilarious sounding version of Wrestlers Court I've ever heard of, complete with a witness turning heel and Photoshopped "evidence".

IIRC, it came up in a Punk interview.

People took that as disrespectful. The way I heard that story was that Eddie did the move on a show in Mexico and other wrestlers told Hassan that he should say something about Eddie doing his move. Hassan does so and Eddie flips out because, as you said, it was Gory's move.

For once, he wasn't involved, as they stated it was wrestlers only and kicked him out of the room.

I don't understand the whole Hassan thing. He wasn't booking and I never heard anything about him politicking to get the push. Unless he was being obnoxious about it why would they blame him? That's the whole thing about 'Wrestler's court', the logic doesn't need to make sense because it's mainly jealous veterans like JBL punishing young guys for getting chances they didn't receive or just because they flat out don't like them. It reminds me of the origins of JBL's beef with Don Callis, working as the Jackyl he was booked in so many insulting segments with the oddities, which JBL seemed to blame him for like he was booking them. According to Callis on Jim Cornette's podcast, he stood up for himself and said that he knew they were lousy but they were still drawing better ratings that anything Bradshaw had done. I always LOVE how everyone in the WWE always says how "yes men" aren't liked in the WWE locker-room and how Vince can't stand "yes-men" who just "tell him what he wants to hear". Then when someone like Don Callis calls them on their BS and openly speaks his mind he is instantly bullied and harassed by the "good ole boys" (read: biggest yes men of all) of the locker-room. Ivory also makes another good point in that shoot that whenever the vets can tell that Vince is really taken with a guy (like Brock Lesnar when he started), all that "earning your dues" stuff goes out the window.

I have a quasi-one. Many years ago, another big wrestling message board would hold AOL chats with a group of its posters, and occasionally we would manage to get wrestlers in there for a few minutes. One night, we had Dutch Mantell on board, but that was also the night a poster who owed me some tapes I'd paid for almost a year previously and never received was around. Dutch got wind of the situation between the trader and myself, and promptly held court, naming himself judge and demanding both sides' stories. At the end, he ruled in my favor and that the defendant was to hand over the owed material immediately. I'll be damned if the other guy didn't have the tapes in my mailbox within the week. Moral of the story: Don't f*** with Dutch Mantell.
