Serious question to those who have followed Russo's antics for a while...why do wrestling organizations continue to hire him based on his track record? they foolishly think lightening couldn't strike a 3rd/4th time in him bringing down another organisation and that he's due another good run of ideas to help take them further. in Dixie's case she's insane and not vince McMahon occasionally brilliant but insane.

It took all these years, but Vince Russo is now the victim of the ultimate Vince Russo swerve.

Serious question to those who have followed Russo's antics for a while...why do wrestling organizations continue to hire him based on his track record? As much as people put the guy down whether they like it or not he's at the very least somewhat responsible for the Attitude Era. If you listen to him it was just him and Ferrara and I'd tend to believe that but others might not. He's responsible for the best time period in all of wrestling and the most successful. Then you look at WCW which he ruined but his tenure in TNA wasn't terrible and he was booking during their hottest period. He left in 2010 when things started going down and returned in 2014 as an adviser but he did well for TNA just on a much smaller scale. He also knows how to write television and is very creative. Not saying every idea is good because it isn't but having a creative guy who knows how a TV show should go segment to segment is vital in a wrestling world where almost nobody has that skill anymore.

"There's only one way for me to do this, and that is for me to tell it like it is. You know, three weeks ago I left Pyroandballyhoo.com and quite frankly I didn't know if I was going to come back. And the reason I didn't know whether or not I was going to come back is because from day one that I've been on pyroandballyhoo.com, I've done nothing but deal with the bullshit of the politics behind that monitor. The fact of the matter is I have a wife and three kids at home and I don't need this shit. But let me tell you the reason I did come back. I came back for every one of the guys in that locker room who week in, week out bust their asses for pyroandballyhoo.com. I came back for the Booker Ts, I came back for every single guy in nL, I came back for the Animals, I came back for Jarrett, I came back for the guys behind the monitor who give a shit about this company. And let me tell you who doesn't give a shit about this company, that goddamned politician Vince Russo. Because let me tell you people what happened out here on this website tonight. All day long I'm playing politics with Vince Russo because tonight Vince Russo wants to play his creative control card. And to Vince Russo, that meant tonight in the middle of this site, when he knew it was bullshit, he beats Jeff Jarrett. Well, guess what, Russo got his wish. Russo got his belt and he went the hell home. I promise everybody, or else I'll go in the goddamned grave, you will never see that piece of shit again!"

He knows how to write for TV (not saying it is good mind ya) and he is cheap after losing all his money in a failed business and a Madoff type scheme. Plus there is always "Yeah he failed here but he succeeded here" along with "I can make it work". Aw, Russo lost all his money? That's sad to hear. IIRC he says in his book he opened his big record store in Atlanta right when 9/11 happened and the stock market tanked. Bin Laden with the ultimate swerve.

If somebody says no to all his shitty ideas, this could be good. One thing Russo was good at was giving everybody something to do. Have him be involved with the development of wrestlers could be good... Maybe.
but if they just let Russo be Russo then they deserve to die a slow and humiliating death. Serves El Rey Network right for not having Lucha Underground for me.

If you listen to what Vince Russo says everything that ever happened that was good was 100% his idea. Anything bad that happens was totally someone elses fault. You can't trust what Vince says about anything.

Not saying every idea is good because it isn't but having a creative guy who knows how a TV show should go segment to segment is vital in a wrestling world where almost nobody has that skill anymore. He really didn't do that much. Wrestling started taking an "edgier" direction when Bischoff launched Nitro and ground-shaking controversy was something we started to expect on a week to week basis. McMahon finally clued in that the audience was changing and started taking Raw in the same direction and to greater extremes. WCW upped the ante with the Outsiders and Hulk Hogan turning heel. At the same time, the Stone Cold character started to take off which led to the Austin/McMahon feud which, in addition to WCW becoming stale, was a big reason why fans started giving Raw a second look. Sure, Russo contributed, but a lot of what worked for WWE was a "well, duh" response to what WCW was doing. WCW got edgy so WWE got edgy. Bischoff got a stable of edgy superheels over, so Vince did the same. Bischoff got the heel authority figure over, so Vince became a heel authority figure. Sure, there was a lot of other stuff going on in the background that Russo had a hand in, but none of that was the reason why business turned around for WWE. His ineffectiveness has been proved over and over again.

So many creative thinkers in the world why not actually audition some guys who might just have ideas that start good?

The RD interview was the only good thing to come from that pyroandbullcrap website, mainly because RD basically kept on laughing in his face.

I feel sorry for Russo. He must have lost a website on a pole match.
The sad thing about Russo, bro, is that he was such a great heel bro, that 15 years later, bro, people think he really was that heel character bro. That's the only reason that people don't like him, bro.

Don't worry fellow Russo fans, Russo has been known to reuse ideas constantly so I fully expect PyroAndBallyHooTwoTheElectricBoogaloo to be coming soon.

Does anyone actually subscribe to pyroandballyhoo?
It looks like a mess to me. Seems to be about 50% wrestling with the other 50% being taken straight from Yahoo, i.e. celebrity, sports and Kim Kardashian's ass.
I like his latest VIP blog where he charges people to hear him answer the question of whether wrestling has "turned from a FIGHT to a STUNT SHOW".
