It's so good he got to play the part of Doink. As talented as he might of been in the ring I doubt we would appreciate his charisma if he never played Doink.

Who the f*** is Pruce Pritchard? Brother Love. A televangelist gimmick. Original manager of the Undertaker. It's actually Bruce, not Pruce. And man, was his character useless and out of place. I've always thought the Brother Love gimmick was the very first instance of Vince amusing himself with on-air characters and skits regardless of whether the crowd liked it or not.

Brother Love was awesome. He was a heat magnet and some shit always went down on his show, including Earthquake killing Hulk Hogan.

I was never a fan either. He was a corny character that served no purpose other than to annoy. Why is a televangelist a wrestling talk show host?

Sideshow Giant Gonzalez would have been awesome. At least they never did a Sideshow Bob Backlund. Sure he can play the crazy murderous intelligent part, but I don't think he can sing:

Send in.....the clowns.
Send in.....the clowns.
Send in.....those soulful and doleful, schmaltz-by-the-bowlful clowns!

What I got from that is that Stone Cold and the boys apparently hated doing shows in Hamilton, I wonder why that was?

I consider Matt Borne's Doink a great example of method acting in wrestling. Seriously, you could see how much he immersed himself in the character. The facial expressions, in particular, were priceless. The way he would shift from smiling gleefully to frowning menacingly. It was never the same once they turned him face. I'd like to see them bring him back for a nostalgia pop on some random Raw.

I always thought Doink was based on The Joker. Maybe Vince would understand the gimmick if it was explained to him like that.

Brother Love was awesome. He was a heat magnet and some shit always went down on his show, including Earthquake killing Hulk Hogan. That's what made the heel interview shows so comical in retrospect, if you were a face you had to just assume that there was a 90% chance that you were getting beaten down before you were done.

I would guess that Vince didn't know what the Simpsons was by 1997 when his own champion was on the show.

One of his last shoot interviews. He believed in it.
