Where would you rate Rotunda among the wrestling greats of his era?
Bret Hart rightfully earned the nickname "Excellence of Execution", but I don't see Rotunda coming in too far behind him, if at all. Everything he did in there was crisp, well executed, and looked like it hurt.
One of my favorite moves by him with his elbow drop, which was quick like Muta's but without the theatrics.

I'd say that he was a good solid technical type guy to have in the midcard that makes others look good and can be used as a threat if he has to be. Really good/underrated worker.

I guess he did a good job considering he's been working backstage for awhile now

Solid. Not one of the best of his generation, but solid.

He was f***ing awesome. I love the Write Off as a finisher, and sometimes he kinda looked like Bruce Campbell. Had some talented kids, too.

I recently watched all the RAWs from 1994 and it's amazing how seemingly every week he would screw up his promo. He would literally trip over his words or get lost mid-sentence almost every single week.
As for his in-ring work, he was definitely at his worst as the IRS character. I can't think of a single IRS match I'd recommend to anyone. He had some average at best stuff while in The US Express and The Varsity Club, but his IRS work is pretty terrible.
