Here are just my thoughts on this: like all things in life, there needs to be a balance. I don't expect a professional wrestling trainer to be all smiles and sunshine. Not a doubt in my mind it is some of the most brutal athletic training imaginable, and there no doubt is also a certain degree of mentally "toughening up" to prepare the rookies for the rigors of life on the road, subjecting your body willingly to abuse six nights of the week all year round. But the kind of crap that is attributed to Bill DeMott is flat out abusive-period. Its one thing to tell some rookie who is grumbling about being sore from yesterday's drilling to just tough it out-its another to go deliberately trying to injure them to prove whether or not they can "take it." And this idea that DeMott needs to "cull the herd" or pick out the weak from the strong is nothing short of primitive; if the trainees don't want to be a WWE superstar badly enough, they will quit with nor risk of a potential lawsuit to WWE. If they are not good enough, they will not make the graduating class. That mindest, much like the "independent contractor" status, is something I do believe is going to have to change somewhere in the future if WWE is going to be able to survive as a publicly traded entity.

That mindest, much like the "independent contractor" status, is something I do believe is going to have to change somewhere in the future if WWE is going to be able to survive as a publicly traded entity. That's also more of the problem and more of the "old school" mentality of training. People know the old school mentality- which does work, of the "you beat them down, you mentally toughen them up, you let them realize they'll have to work hurt and still be able to protect their opponents in the ring"- which are all things a wrestler will have to do. Even the "cull the herd" or pick out the weak from the strong is a whole different story. The problem is Bill DeMott has the other side of the "old school" mentality which is just as bad from trainers- namely, the plan of "Every training class you have, you take the biggest guy, the most legitimate athlete- an NFL player, an amateur standout, a big guy, whatever one you pick- and you deliberately injure the guy badly enough so they have to quit, just to send him back to the real world so he'll tell all his friends that pro wrestling is real". THAT is the bigger part of the old school era that needs to die out more than anything, simply because everyone knows it's staged now, it's a common fact of life it's staged- most of the people DeMott is training were picked and screened by the WWE in the first place to go into training (if not were previously trained enough to know it's staged)- even the WWE SAYS it's staged.

There's no need for Bill DeMott. They don't need a drill sergeant to weed out weakness. The guys they are signing are experienced wrestlers like Owens, Zayn, Neville, Itami, Balor etc...If they didn't have what it takes to make it as wrestlers, they wouldn't have even made it this far. These guys also need no advice when it comes to wrestling skills from Bill DeMott, who was a shitty wrestler, nor do they need advice from him regarding promos, because he was shit at those too. Their main requirement is how to wrestle on TV when it comes to camera locations etc..., and Bill DeMott isn't required for that.

The fact that something like this is going public is a major black eye for WWE if they don't fire DeMott and we're talking a class action law suit that WWE would easily lose

Not to defend DeMott, but I know at least one of his "victims" has not been much better since. He has publicly picked on specific people on Facebook just for not being a fan of his, and sicced his fans on said people, encouraging them to do the same, all the while spreading untrue gossip they heard from their fellow "stars". In that case I have no sympathy either way. Two wrongs don't make a right. Hey, isn't cyberbullying just as much a problem with the kids today or something???

There's no need to want him fired. Not because I'd feel sorry for him, but because it's only a matter of time until he tries to bully the wrong person.

I remember a few years ago that picture leaked of some naked guy giving a stinkface while "training" for DeMott's amusement. Not sure of its exact origin, but it's clearly from a WWE facility. Guy alleged that there was a girl in the other corner off-camera who had to take it, too. It's easy to find online if you have the balls to search for "Bill DeMott nude". EDIT: Apparently, the people did it as some sort of compromise to get out of training or something. Looking up stuff about him, he seems to have a lot of disparagement from talent. Trent Baretta made some kind of off-handed comment about him sexually harassing Bayley a few years ago. Tweet's deleted now, but here's what it said: @sasazekzi @itsbayleywwe nope. She's way prettier… I don't even get sexually harassed by my strength coach.
— TRENT? (@trentylocks) May 26, 2013If I were to say my true feelings about DeMott right now, I'd probably get banned.

Tommy doesn't seem to realise that these complaints are leaked emails made while the talent were under contract with the WWE. They went to management and management didn't investigate, didn't interview the talent named in the complaint, they just ratted them out to DeMott so he had another stick to beat them with.

To comment on the Drew Donovon post, James Bronson posted there as well vetting the Rusev story. I tweeted it to Court Bauer as he worked with Bronson in MLW. Bronson's in ring career was also ended with a neck injury in NXT.

I heard of guys who funded their companies because of a guy who paid them to put him in headlocks, as he got off sexually on that,or vice versa.

There's no need to want him fired. Not because I'd feel sorry for him, but because it's only a matter of time until he tries to bully the wrong person. Honestly, I was pretty surprised there hasn't been someone with a legit boxing/martial arts background who he's bullied/struck that's not turned around a dropped him. Mind you, I suppose you wouldn't want to compromise your dream. Anyhoo, Bobcore Holly tweeted earlier that he did a seminar that had former NXT talents attending a few months back and they told him similar stories. And if he's saying you're a douche, you must be a douche!

He just made the video game. Poor guy.
I hear the next DLC pack was going to be sexual harrassment taunts for him.

That matters not one iota, you asshole. I don't give a flying f*** what happened with your training. Just because it happened at your wrestling school does not make it right nor does it justify it happening elsewhere. Over the past couple of years, I've found myself gradually starting to hate Jericho. Now, it's official. Chris Jericho can f*** right off. I'll just assume you're joking.
