His gimmick is bashing Wyatt, lol. Sister Abigail looked brutal when Jericho's head smashed on the mat. Nothing remotely near the Overdrive. Sorry, but the move looks like it has absolutely no impact. All you have to do is put your hands up and boom. You're good. I'm not a gimmick. I just like nothing about the man lol He's done variations where he catches the opponent then slams them into the Sister Abigail. Those looked brutal as hell.

It just looks like a move in which you know is a wrestling move. Like, a move designed to look cool that doesn't look damaging, is too complicated and looks lame. Those are the 3 no-nos for finishers. I think it was like "we have to show everyone that these new wrestlers are modern and kewl! it's the new millennium!"

Can we just say all of MVP's finishers. Also the Paydirt He had that short-arm scissor crossface that was pretty badass, but the crossface has become passe. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDtvNRbi3jgin this video, at :19, you can See Dolph Ziggler do his best to make the Playmaker worthwhile. It's predictably hilarious.

I'm not even sure what the Overdrive is supposed to accomplish, so it's definitely a strong candidate. Right, that's the big problem. Others my look silly but when you break them down they make sense. People's Elbow is a huge jacked up dude dropping the full force of his elbow into your heart. AA is a huge jacked up dude slamming you down to the ground. But what the f*** does the Overdrive do? Land your head on the fleshy part of someone's thigh?

It's like a wrestling version of a Rube Goldberg machine. Something that looks so complicated just to do a simple task.

HBKs Teardrop suplex. Shane Douglas' belly to belly suplex. Teardrop Suplex is a neat enough move, but a shitty finisher. Belly to Belly's s'alright, but not the best, sure. I like Miz, but the Mizard of Oz was a weak finisher.

Shane Douglas's belly to belly was my least favorite for years. Then I saw the FU/AA and that became my least favorite. Then I saw the Overdrive and that has stayed the least favorite.
At least with Wasteland and hell, even the belly to belly there's impact.
Overdrive is just let me balance on one foot awkwardly, then fall down and make it look like I hurt myself more than the person I'm doing the move to. Also I think MVP picked it so he could do his Touchdown/Heisman pose before the move to go along with his gimmick. I appreciated Madison Rayne expanding her moveset, but any move would be a better finisher. Even a belly to belly.

I don't think Candice kept it like this, but this was one of the most pointlessly complicated setups for a relatively simple move I can ever recall seeing.

Considering some of the people he's beaten with it, the AA is the lamest one to me.

Thread winner. WTF was that ? Well if you go by the Youtube comments (and really, who doesn't?), it's called a 'modified crap-shit something.'

Solomon Crowe's current finisher is the actual dumbest thing I've ever seen. It doesn't even have theatrics to doll it up, it looks like a shithouse signature move that gets the first kickout-at-1 in a 20-minute match.

Not to mention the people's elbow is always proceeded by a spine buster, a finisher in it's own right. The thing that doesn't make sense to me was running the ropes. Was he supposed to be building momentum? AA doesn't make sense to me. It only ever looked impressive on big guys. The bigger you are, the harder you fall type of thing, but it's the exact same impact as a back body drop. I'm sure it's happened but I've never seen anyone get a pin off one of those.

Seeing as Ambrose has abandoned the move, I hope he starts using the headlock driver again

Remember when the Overdrive used be to the go-to finisher for every generic cocky cocky heel?
What an awful time in our great industry.
