You know New Jack is a rather divisive figure for some reason I've never been ale to figure out. I want to see what you guys think of him.
My opinion is he's a worthless piece of shit with no talent who has no place in the wrestling business or really anywhere except a maximum security prison spending 30 to 45 years in jail for his various attempted murders.

He had the best run-ins in wrestling history, don't care what anyone says.
Great promo guy, tons of physical charisma, f*** crazy IRL.

He was fun to watch at the time. When he tones it back he's a great garbage wrestler.
But most the time he went way over the top.

Love me some New Jack. Still to this day I can't figure out where kayfabe ends and reality begins with him.

Amazing promo. Shit wrestler. Decent garbage brawler except when he went way over the line with gigging others. I too dug his ECW run ins.
IRL he may or may not be a POS. He has shown some tendencies leaning that way. I have no trouble believing he is out of his damn mind most of the time.

Great as a brawler/big personality. Absolutely awful as a wrestler & obscured his career by taking things way too far many times.

I have him pegged for a role in a late night talk show hosted by Kevin Nash.
Up Late, with Kevin Nash:
Host - Kevin Nash Co-host (Ed McMahon/Andy Richter role): Alex Shelley Announcer: Iron Sheik Band leader: Scott Steiner Roving reporter: New Jack

I only judge New Jack based on his ECW run. In that capacity, he was the greatest thing since sliced head.
{Spoiler}Also I don't see him as Denzel so much, but I do see him as Denzel's friend

I enjoyed early 90's New Jack the best - he actually felt a bit like a wrestler at that point. And during his time in Smokey Mountain - he wasn't bad at all. Much like Sandman however, he found out he was better as a gimmick and built the rest of his career around that. Nothing wrong with that as long as it worked - and it did. New Jack was very popular and one of the main attractions in ECW.
I also really liked his team with Mustafa. They put on some surprisingly good matches, especially with the Eliminators.

New Jack bladed a 17 year old kid and cut him real bad, stabbed an independent wrestler 16 times, beat up a territories legend called Gypsy Joe, smacked an indy rookie in the head with a chair cutting him open hard way and causing him to bleed all over the floor before picking him up and continuing to beat the shit out of him. Then you have the 2010 stabbing incident with him and Mustafa and you have the Vic Grimes incident where he admits to trying to murder the guy.
Is he entertaining? Yes. Is he a quality garbage wrestler? Yes. Are his shoot interviews funny? Yes. Can I respect a guy who deliberately injures people and doesn't regret doing it? No. Could I pay to see a guy who could very well attempt to kill a local wrestler right in front of my eyes? Definitely not.

he was a product of his era. Entertaining to watch ag the time.
The bigger debate to me is how he has been able to carve out the reputation of a tough guy when he has never tried a credible wrestler, as far as I know. Imagine if he talked shit to somebody like RVD back in 1999? I can't picture an outcome where Rob doesn't absolutely destroy him.

Greatest technical wrestler that ever laced up the boots. If you can't appreciate a solid greco-roman guitar shot, then I don't know whats wrong with you.
