Ambrose was the most over person on the roster while Reigns was hurt and they were featuring him in main event fashion.

He needs a new theme song badly. If you listen to it, it's really repetitive, even for a wrestling entrance theme. And it sounds like something a career midcarder would use.
Otherwise he's insanely over. Got some of the loudest pops at the arena last week.

Once Reigns got hurt it was time to rebook the Rumble. He lost all sorts of momentum while injured. Reigns simply hasn't had enough time as a singles wrestler to be over as one. The distressing thing about Ambrose is that WWE seemed to intentionally bury him in order to not have him out-pop Roman. And don't even get me started on using Ambrose as jobber fodder to push Bray Wyatt (who in turn is going to be fed to Taker).

Ambrose is the epitome of an upper-midcard guy. He'll constantly be featured with top guys, get plenty of mic time, and will even a title here and there but will never be world champ.
Not even necessarily a bad thing, it is what it is.

Dammit, he needed to beat Rollins at WM. I just cannot believe how bigoted WWE was to not do that match at WM.

There are lots of guys who could be the next big thing, but WWE won't let them

He shoulda already been.
If strapped a rocket to him from the time he got a huge pop upon returning till now, he'd be there. There wouldn't be a 'next' about it.

Not even necessarily a bad thing, it is what it is. That's how I picture him developing. In the upper midcard, occasional main event spot like DDP.

I said the same thing during his match with Rollins on Raw. He stood on top of the announce table after taking out Kane, looking out to the crowd, and they were just going insane over his presence and the match. He truly has the look of the everyman who would be against the corporate authority.
Just something about him on that night screamed "This man has IT". He can go in the ring, he's great on the mic, he seems to live and breathe his gimmick, and just has an all around old school feel that reminds me of several wrestlers that I grew up watching and loving when I was a kid.

They sacrificed Ambrose, Ziggler and Bryan to keep Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt strong.
That's the problem with WWE. They've lost all their....ingenuity. Instead of just rolling with the punches they went "Ziggler? Haha, no. Ambrose? We like him but we don't like him that much. Bryan? He had his chance and he screwed it up by getting injured. We like Reigns and Wyatt, and the fans will have to like them too when we put them over all their favourites."
WWE shouldn't be sacrificing their most naturally over guys in a ill-thought out attempt to get over the guys that they clearly like the best.

I don't know what it is about Ambrose, but to me he's a lot less interesting when he's not feuding with Seth Rollins To be fair, everyone is a lot less interesting when not feuding with Seth Rollins, he is probably the best in the world right now.

I would disagree. Unless they did a major overhaul of his character, he'll be a mid-card guy. They kinda ruined him with the Nickelodeon-esque pranks he was fond of for a while.
And maybe it's just me, but his promos are terrible.

I meant after he knocked out Rollins and throw Kane over the announce table, then stood on top of it to the pop of the crowd it just seemed like a main event feel to it. But it's a shame to see not just him, but Ziggler, Bryan, and others be given the yo yo booking and push that tends to kill momentum.

It's Seth Rollins.
The guy went from having his penis exposed to the World to feuding with an A-lister. The only argument you can use against him is that he's a heel, but I don't think "the guy" nessacarily has to be a good guy these days.
