Said it in the RAW thread.
It was the first time in a very long time I turned of RAW for anything other than real life business that came up. Think it was also the first time in years me, my wife, and my daughter all agreed on something (that he sucked).

He's a terrible MC. No kind of stage presence or charisma. He just hopped around a lot and spouted out his bullshit lyrics. So, pretty much like all rap then. AHAHAHAHA, THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!

They seriously thought he was going to hype the crowd up? They know TV fans are antsy more than ever now. There was no celebrity involvment in any of the shows leading to Mania 30 in March last year. This shit doesn't work, they need to book this show like NXT ASAP.

Remember how much flack WWE gave WCW for having a KISS concert on Nitro?

Wiz isn't really known for his lyrics, flow, beats nor his performances. He's known for being a rapper who's all about those blunts.
With that said it sucked but still better than Florida Georgia Line.

Kush & Orange Juice and How Fly are classic mixtapes. That said, that performance was awful and a waste of time.

When are wrestling promoters going to realize that musical performances almost never work in wrestling, unless they are playing someone's entrance theme?
Wrestling fans don't have a defined musical taste, so you can pretty much guarantee that a good portion of the audience is going to be bored with it, regardless of whether it's the No Limit Soldiers, KISS, Machine Gun Kelly, or Wiz Khalifa.
This is one of those times where we can rag on WWE for making the same mistakes as WCW.

All i can say is Wiz Khalifa rapping in front of JBL, Booker T and Michael Cole was a weird, surreal sight.

Did anyone backstage anywhere get the connection to a song called We Dem Boyz on a wrestling show?

I actually really dig a lot of Wiz's stuff, just not the hits really. I know a girl that doesn't like wrestling but watched RAW tonight to see him, so I do think he was a somewhat relevant celebrity to bring in.
That being said, his performance was weak and just as pointless as any other musical guests WWE has had. These things never, ever work unless it's a band performing somebody's theme music. Otherwise there's no point and the crowd knows it.

Remember how much flack WWE gave WCW for having a KISS concert on Nitro? Exactly. WWE is so full of shit when they blast WCW for their mistakes, while they themselves make the same damn errors.

I actually didn't think it was bad. Not too long, played his big hit, had fun backstage, and called it a night.
And I'm never in favor of musical guests. But I was there live, and I think it came off ok.
