Because we sure as hell won't.
That was ridiculous. You've got the guy who MAIN EVENTED Mania last year in the ring, and they're too busy talking absolute shit to Truth to even acknowledge anything that's happening in the ring.

Bryan's still not even actually booked for the show, which isn't exactly unprecedented in itself (my example is Kurt Angle, who was the reigning WWF Champion a little over a month before WM17, but after the losing the belt was only booked for a match with Chris Benoit on the go home RAW), but is just bizarre considering how strongly booked he was at the last WM.

Daniel Bryan match going on, and they're talking about f***ING POTATOES. Seriously. I wanted to give WWE a shot at Bryan in the IC title match, but if they wanna talk about potatoes while the best (and most over) damn wrestler in the world is wrestling, they can seriously just f*** off.

At the same time, can you ever remember a brawl erupting over the IC title?

I'm guessing someone has already predicted this before, but I just had the thought that a returning Sheamus is winning the IC title at Mania.
Regarding Daniel Bryan, if they're not already putting him in this match, the current plan is to not have him in this match.

I think we might get a WM21 situation where Sheamus challenges Bryan to a match on the go-home show.
Sheamus loses his return at WM Play and turns heel on Bryan.

And the same with Miz from what I remember. Retained the WWE title at WM27 in the main event, then he wasn't booked in that 7 vs. 7 tag match at WM28 until the week before the show!

I think we can now confirm that Daniel Bryan has had the worst return in the history of wrestling.
- Return with no hype. - First match back on SD. - loses to Bray on Raw. - Feuds with KANE. - Loses the Rumble clean in 10 minutes. Eliminates no one. - Looks like a whiny bitch challenging Reigns just because "he's the better wrestler" despite losing cleanly, frequently, to everyone. - Loses clean to Reigns. - Endorses Reigns like he's the next John Cena while the crowds boo. - Stuck in a midcard match at WM over a title that doesn't matter in a multi-man clusterf***. - Commentators feel enticed to discuss potatoes more than a Bryan match.
How you do this to your most over guy in the company within 2 months is astonishing. What's more astonishing is that he's still the most over guy in the company.

I'm in the minority here with the R-Truth on commentary bit. Yeah it's Bryan and he deserves WAY the f*** better for being the most over guy, but I just don't care about any of it. Truth channeling his awesome, lying, crazy version again was a silver lining on this show for me. They could have not had Truth out there and I still really wouldn't have cared what was going on in the ring due to how unimportant they've made DB.

At least this Raw should make for a great Mark Remark episode.

That's the sad thing to me, that it's not even worth it to get mad about any of it anymore because they'll just do what they want regardless. Bryan, Ambrose, and Ziggler all seen and gone in the first hour, brawling over a title that's treated like a joke, while commentary does nothing to put them or their match over, each of them treated like just another guy on the card. Maybe they'll actually let one or all of them elevate it, I don't know, but I didn't view last night as an encouraging sign that it's going to happen.

That's why I didn't take it too seriously and just enjoyed R-Truth making me laugh. It was at least something positive in an otherwise COMPLETELY shitty build to Wrestlemania from top to bottom.

This was their top babyface who got the biggest rub maybe EVER at Mania. Has neck injury. Makes it back in time for the Rumble! Squandered.
