Explain a match or storyline outcome that angered or greatly disappointed you as a wrestling fan - maybe even so much that it influenced your attitudes for years to come.
My best example is the rage I felt as a young wrestling fan when Hulk Hogan defended the WWE title against Paul Orndorff in a steel cage match on SNME. I thought their feet touched at exactly the same time, yet they gave the win to Hogan anyway. My parents argued that Hogan won, so I just started arguing that Paul won. That match made me a lifetime fan of Orndorff and a hater of Hulkamania.

In 1991, Sting lost the US title to Rick Rude after Luger messed up his knee. Then a week later, Hogan lost the title to Undertaker after Flair interfered. This was in an era where title changes rarely happened. The young crusher was absolutely devastated. My two biggest heroes had been cheated in 8 days time. I thought the world was going to end.

When Backlund beat Bret for the World Title. I was so crushed. I swore I'd never watch a show with him as champion. Also I was confused because I was just starting to understand the business and could not believe they'd put the title on Backlund. I specifically remember thinking "How are they gonna make any money with him as champion?" My best example is the rage I felt as a young wrestling fan when Hulk Hogan defended the WWE title against Paul Orndorff in a steel cage match on SNME. I thought their feet touched at exactly the same time, yet they gave the win to Hogan anyway. Didn't they restart the match because of them landing at the same time? Then Hogan legit won...

Bully Ray Vs Dixie.
Bully Ray is hired to do a job for Dixie and doesn't do it, steals Dixie's money, costs Dixie her entire company, admits on national tv he spent it on strippers and then when Dixie dares fight back we have Bully Ray openly saying he wants to harm her by putting her through a table. At this point fans begin questioning how Bully Ray could possibly be the baby face in this picture but it continues.
Bully can't get the job done due to Team Dixie who are the faces because they're protecting a woman and mother from a 300 pound wrestler so he brings in 2 other huge wrestlers before grabbing Dixie, putting her through a table as the whole roster who are paid by Dixie and had never had a problem with her stand around the ring cheering and celebrating.
In the fall out Dixie Carter and her 2 children do the ALS Ice Bucket challenge to raise vital funds for charity as Bully Ray leaves TNA, cuts a shoot promo at TNA's biggest event of the year and is quickly forgotten about.
Perhaps one of the stupidest wrestling story lines ever.

It's possible I'm misremembering details but my fury is still fresh. I also was very angry at the audacity of WCW to "copy" WWE by launching a show on Monday night's. When Luger showed up, I felt he personally betrayed me and boycotted WCW for about 2 weeks.

I just mentioned this in another thread but Lex Luger beating Yokozuna by count out. If you need to keep Luger strong, fine, but Lex Luger celebrating like he'd just single handedly won WWII angers me even now.

Summerslam 2007. I despised Cena at the time. When Orton didn't win I nearly RKOed my own mother out of sheer rage.

I punted my dad and then put it into a video package to help me get heat for when I wrestled my brother.

Bobby Roode vs Kurt Angle. Roode is white hot and what does Total Nonstop Asinine do? They job him out in under twelve minutes to Angle who wins with his feet on the ropes. And two days later he goes and loses the belt in under a minute and a half to Storm.

When Backlund beat Bret for the World Title. I was so crushed. I swore I'd never watch a show with him as champion. In fairness, you didn't. Due to not having USA in the late 80s, very early 90s, I watched more WCW than WWF. When I finally got to watch WWF regularly in late 91, I still leaned WCW (although I was becoming an Undertaker mark and like most children my age was already a Hulkamaniac and Little Warrior. But WCW was still No. 1. But, it started changing (as we have all been smarted up to at this time). I kept watching through all the changes until fall of 1992. When they changed Stings' entrance music. It may sound petty but it was enough for me to turn off WCW for a good five years. I didn't start watching again until Nitro started and, really, never watched regularly again, although I watched more in the late 90s. MAYN CALLED STANG HE'S A MAYN CALLED STANG That made me angry too (still does), but it didn't cause me to stop watching. They did the same thing to Dustin Rhodes. He had a cool instrumental theme that they replaced with: SO THEY CALL HIM THE NATCHRUL (NATCHROOOOOOL)
