If there's one disturbing theory I'd have, it's that Vince McMahon is deliberately booking WWE so poorly and making so many moves that are losing money because Vince McMahon doesn't plan to leave the company to anyone, at all- and instead plans to "take it with him" when he goes and have WWE shut down entirely.
Similarly, Triple H is putting so much work into the Performance Center and making NXT such a great show because he KNOWS Vince plans to do this, and so he wants to make sure that when Vince does die and shuts down the WWE, NXT will be in position to take over as the promotion to take WWE's place in the vacuum.

Ultimate Warrior knew his death was imminent when he made that speech on RAW. I don't think that's very farfetched. I seem to remember reading something along those lines. Heart disease ran in his family and his father died at roughly the same age Warrior did. I'm of the belief that he made peace with the company (and Hogan) because he felt the clock was ticking, with Mania weekend knowingly being his swan song. Edit: Yeah, rewatching that promo....he knew it. You can just see it in his eyes.

I am convinced that there were not 93,173 fans at the Silverdome to see WM3. I know it seems far fetched.l but I think that WWF lied in order to get mainstream media attention. I know, it's shocking. On a related note, I have a working theory that Madison Square Garden does not, in fact, hold 80,000 people. It does, but only on certain nights.

The death of so many friends contributed to Chris Benoit's already declining mental health, and his final actions.
Owen Hart in 1999, Helen Hart in 2001, Davey Boy Smith in 2002, Stu Hart in 2003, and Eddie Guerrero in 2005.

I'm pretty sure that Sheiky Baby had no intention of publicly sodomizing Brian Blair at Wrestlemania 3.

The big one! Eric Bishoff intentionally tanked WCW so he could buy it! It actually makes sense, the second his deal was on the table and almost sown up, the quality of WCW improved massively. He had no control over WCW since late Spring 1999. It really hadn't hit a nose dive yet, more like extremely bumpy and badly booked turbulence. Also, I've always had a sneaking suspicion Dusty Rhodes cut the brakes in Magnum TA's hot rod.

WWE is just a front for a gay escort service. They haven't made any money in years on the actual sports entertainment side, but their other services are highly desired among old, fat gay men. It's been rumoured that a few of the Japanese joshi promotions work along these lines... prostituting out the talent...

I think the Montreal Screwjob was a work. It was a plan that benefited all sides. Vince got the SUPER heel he wanted at the top of the card that helped cause the attitude boom (himself), and Bret got the big money from WCW.
It was, quite literally, best for business.

I don't get why this is always disputed. I understand that WWE would and could inflate the attendance record, but I was there. Granted I was like 5 and didn't exactly do a headcount, but the place was FULL. If the Stones and the Pope could both get around the same amount (90,000+) people there I see no reason to believe that WrestleMania 3 didn't as well. This 80,000 or whatever that was quoted by someone (I wanna say Meltzer?) as the "actual" number is totally bullshit, unless the pope lied about his attendance as well. You could NOT have fit another 10,000 people in there by any stretch of the imagination.

Tony Schiavone might have exaggerated a bit, atleast a few of the times he declared random episodes of Nitro "The greatest night in the history of our sport."

It was either him, or Bossman, but Jericho mentioned something along these lines in his second book. He told a story about Benoit calling him in tears, and saying something along the lines of "I can't take any more of my friends leaving me"

Not disturbing but I think WWE ensures that ROH will always have enough money to get by. Much like ECW back in the day it will never be competition but a good source of talent and ideas.
