Actually reading the article, it says the stock dropped 19% after WrestleMania last year.
So, it seems while not ideal, it is an improvement from year to year.

That will teach them to put on a good show, just like WM19. Actually they have Brock in the title match and HHH beating the remnants of WCW in common.
It's hardly surprising though, I bet there's a lot of people that will only be subscribe during the Royal Rumble to WM period.

It's basic stock trading; WM is the company's biggest time of the year, so it has nowhere else to go but down (WWE doesn't exactly do much to counter this perception). What better time to sell?
That, or the stockholders are all nWo members who are still angry at the Trips/Sting finish.
