The crowd wouldn't have done those chants at Cena or Bryan, because there is no perception (as wrong as it is) that they attained their status through their relationships. They wouldn't have gotten "You Eat __________" chants. On the other hand, Tyson Kidd's entire push was built on crowds chanting "Nattie's Husband" at him. But is it attempting to shame him for having sex with her? Right, it doesn't put the onus on him for having sex with her (as if having sex with Nattie Neidhart is a bad thing), and the insult behind that is "You're so unimportant that your FEMALE WIFE is more famous than you are!" It's still an insult against Nattie, too.

The crowd crossed the line & took a cheap & offensive shot at people who are trying to entertain them. The chants are indefensible.
This is coming from someone who would be fine never seeing the Bella Twins on my TV ever again.

Throughout the Roman Reigns push we've seen people say that they won't take what the WWE forces down their throat, and that people pay their money, they can chant what they want, but now they're chanting this it's the WWE's fault. Nope. not having it. They can think for themselves, they're not misogynistic because of what the WWE tells them. They're misogynistic because they want to be. True though that may be, and as shameful as those fans' behaviour is, all I was trying to say is that it's no surprise that WWE attracts a fanbase with a dismissive and reductive attitude toward women, because the company itself very clearly has one and basically tells you that women serve no purpose other than to look good and be slut-shamed. A lot of people who are strongly offended by such an attitude probably won't bother watching, so you're left with a lot of cavemen and not enough enlightened people to drown them out.

It was basically that Nattie had just had a great match with Charlotte and Tyson was jealous of all the plaudits she was getting cos his career had hit the skids. As soon as they started it on Raw and Smackdown, you had Tyson on guest commentary and JBL essentially saying 'do you cook dinner and wash the clothes too? Do you even have a penis? Hahahahaha.'

JBL is basically just a vile human being. Dude doesn't know the actual definition of "heel heat" as an announcer.

I will defend every other chant that happened, even goofy We Are Awesome chants, but s--- like this goes waaaay beyond just having fun and makes wrestling fans look awful as a whole. What's even funnier to me is that they start going "Let's Go Divas!" in the same match, like, we think you all suck d---s but I guess we're still giving divas a chance! They think that means they'll get a one night stand with Paige out of the whole thing. I don't like how overpushed the two of them are, but find a better way of voicing your distain than "You suck ____" It just paints you as the stereotypical undersexed loser than can only ridicule a woman by calling her sexual names.
