Hold on a minute... I knew I'd seen that Austin pic somewhere before. (Of course, with some Photoshopping to take out the "BMF" on his vest) They literally just lifted and re-tooled the cover image from a 12 year old game. Suddenly, that reveal video with Austin digging up an old relic and dusting it off seems even more apt. As opposed to them taking a picture of Austin doing it now... Oh wait you can't because he's not active now

Id love for them to do two storylines for the game with Austin. One as a retrospective of key points in his career. The other being an "Austin's Comeback" story, where he comes back and you go on a year long story mode against current age guys that takes you up to winning the Rumble and going on to Wrestlemania to face off against Brock Lesnar. I would buy that game in a heartbeat

But then the IWC would complain about a 50 year old, who's been inactive for over 12 years, going over the likes of Bryan, Rollins and Ambrose, winning the Royal Rumble and beating Brock Lesnar.

No, that's too creative for 2K.

I know how much THQ was slated by most people but I really have not enjoyed the games anywhere near as much since 2k took over. For as much hate as THQ got (and they did deserve a fair bit of it), WWE is why these games aren't nearly as good as they used to be. They're the ones dictating the yearly release schedule which doesn't give the development teams enough time to actually work on the game thus glitches/stuff taken out, they decide that boring Attitude Era rehashes are more "fun" than original storylines, and they choose soundtracks that have 8 songs so you have to hear the same song over and over. I mean, it's not like 2K can't make decent sports games; they've been doing it for years before they bought THQ. It's just that WWE doesn't seem to care about putting out a quality videogame. That said, I do think 2K14 is the best since 2010 and sometimes I feel like even that was unintentional.

Oh wait you can't because he's not active now Besides the fact that that's basically crux of my argument as to why he shouldn't be on the cover, hence the "digging up an old relic and dusting it off" comment, I've seen what Austin looks like nowadays. He could have thrown on a vest and some jorts, maybe a kneebrace, and let Photoshop do the rest. As it is, this cover is pretty much par-for-the-course for what works in WWE these days: lazily copying and pasting things that worked in the past.

Can we please have a better soundtrack this year? FIFA has about 40 songs on it a year from more obscure musicians we don't hear on the radio every day anyway. I remember when Trivium was the most well known artist to have a song in the game in 2009.
And seriously, you're aiming this at wrestling fans and you have THREE rock songs o the soundtrack? And one of them is an inredibly long and repetitive ripoff of Sad But True?

I've said before, I didn't buy this years game. First one in a looooooong time. I borrowed it and played it a bit before deciding "nope, not for me this year."
Buuuuuuut. I miss playing with CAW. I miss just turning on a wrestling game and screwing around.
I almost bought this years game due to it being on sale on Xbox Live.
I held out.
Please, 16, be better. please.

Its an easy way to get buys from people who aren't into the genre anymore but used to be to buy the game.

It would honestly take two of me to care any less about who's on the cover, so long as we're getting a good roster, etc. I'm actually pretty fine with the 25 CAW slots as well (if alt attires don't take a spot) since a lot of the people I add through CAW will now be in the game.

I just want an actual caw mode, Last years was f***ed beyond f***ed and every caw looked terrible.
