Guy did not even become champion, and he is still the number 1 hated guy. Yeah, with non smarky crowds he gets a decent reaction, but nowhere near what they expected him to get. Arguably, the WWE changed their plans about him winning at WM, because they knew it would cause massive heat, but yet he still got massive heat on RAW. HOW TO FIX? ?

He doesn't need to be fixed.
Let him spread his seed around the world, siring many strong little Romans!

I dunno, the stroytelling at Mania made me dislike him a lot less. More of that and less Succotash might do the trick.

Unplug him, wait 60 seconds and plug him back in?

Keep him away from the world title scene for the time being. Give him high-profile non-title feuds that keep him relevant and allow him to improve without being judged as harshly by the fans.

Have him come up short a time or two more through various screwy means to try and build some sympathy for him, then send him to the midcard for awhile to work with people like Barrett, Sheamus, and Cesaro. Possibly consider turning him heel briefly. I'd probably also take him off TV for a month or two to freshen him up and to try and find a more unique character and look, and also would give him a new theme and have him stop coming out through the crowd.

Was Lex Luger ever "fixed" after multiple attempts in both WWF and WCW to make him a top guy? Reigns is pretty much the same. He can be kept around the upper mid card & get an occasional program with the champ. Putting the belt on him will likely never be a great idea.

WM was a step in the right direction. He actually showed some character in that match. Let him be a badass again, like how he was in the summer, and I'm sure fans will get into the chase if they book it well enough. Honestly, I'd have Reigns face Rollins one on one and come up short by screwy means, and then I'd have Ambrose beat Rollins for the title, and have Reigns show some jealousy towards Ambrose and Rollins, since he is the guy who is related to The Rock and has a great wrestling heritage, yet HE'S the one who keeps coming up short. I think that would give Reigns some sympathy.

Have him turn heel on Orton, not joining The Authority on anything just make him a loner heel. Make his gimic the guy who ruins other people's title chances because he didn't win the title at Wrestlemania.

Be a good way to step away from the Shield thing too, have him denounce it due to the association with the other two and start having him play up his heritage and talk up how he's wrestling royalty and should be treated like it.

Put him in the midcard. And I mean, the actual midcard, not floating around former world champs and beating them to show us how amazing he is. IF he has competitive matches with the likes of Kidd and Cesaro, then he'd be giving THEM a rub, and the fans will give him props for that.

Just turn him heel. Put him in the midcard for a while. Give him a chance to prove himself to the fans, without making it look like they're shoving him down their throats. Then consider another main event push later down the road if his popularity warrants one.
Sure it's likely not the immediate fix that WWE likely wants, but I think taking it slowly to so as to not put any more permanent damage on him would be the best way to go with it.

So far he's following in The Rock's footsteps with the fans legitimately hating him. Keep it going down the Rock road, turn him heel. Maybe have him put on some competitive matches with Bryan for the IC title. Naturally, his charisma will grow and the fans will grow on him.

Agree with the above. Fans are far happier to accept a heel than a face. Just the way it is. Then have them excited for a turn. I picture them just bookig him as a face 'till he eventually wins the title though.

Him turning heel at this point would definitely be the best way to make sure he becomes a star. I think he would flourish in that role

Stop feuding him with the Local Men, for starters. Ease off on the big push. Does he need both the Superman punch and the spear for his finish? The former is more associated with him now, so drop the latter. Orton's usurped his title feud, so getting him in either secondary title scene (or both, they're basically the same people anyway) could be done.
If they really want him to emulate the rise of his cousin, turn him heel and channel those "haters gonna hate" interviews he was doing. Dude's obnoxious as hell, run with that.

He's the guy the company wants, so the fans don't. Cena and Orton have had the same backlash, but Roman's has reached heights that only Cena has seen lately. I don't really know when the tagline went from "he's not ready" to "I hate him", but it happened. I would say the Rumble. The way that it was done, too. They had Ziggler eliminated early and Bryan eliminated unceremoniously, and it came down to Reigns and Show and Kane with Rusev. It was so boring and anticlimactic and so forced that ever since then, the fans have booed the guy out of the building. Send him away for a while. People forget that he had momentum at Summerslam last year. He had a good match going over Orton. Then he got injured and lost all his steam. If a break can stop good momentum, maybe it can stop bad?

Stop treating him like he is better than all the fan-favorites and the coolest thing since cool, the strongest there tis.. Pretty much exactly. Show me he's cool, stop telling me. That's why characters like Ambrose work. The old farts on the announce booth are telling me he's crazy, but his actions and persona are telling me he's the coolest f***ing guy on the planet. That's what Reigns needs. Let him do cool stuff but stop having the announcers ride his jock.

Team him up with British Bulldog until he leaves for WCW.
