Got me wondering today; Did the somewhat spurious angle between Rollins and Stewart get Seth the seal of approval to carry the top title? After all as Reigns promos failed to connect with the audience or draw any interest, Rollins was able to generate outside interest in Wrestlemania and carry several lengthy promo segments sublimely. Good to see Stewart carrying on the wrestling tradition of putting over a younger talent when facing retirement.

I'd point to the Royal Rumble match as the stamp of approval moment.

I think when Seth turned on the Shield, he was guaranteed to be champion. And when he won Money in the Bank, that was them officially saying, yes, Seth will be the champ in the next year.
That Stewart feud was hilarious and awesome, but I think they gave that to Rollins because they were already high on him. Having it go well must've helped, but he was already there.

Wait just a damn minute. Jon said that if Rollins was a real man, he would cash-in during the main event instead of afterwards.
This means.......Jon Stewart saved WrestleMania

Seth Rollins fought Green Lantern? Seth does fit the position of a Sinestro Corps member.

Seth Rollins fought Green Lantern? Seth does fit the position of a Sinestro Corps member. And he did add gold highlights to his gear...

Personally I think Seth and Stewart were in cahoots.

Vince loved the leaked nudes. I doubt that. Vince is 100% a size queen.

This more of a history revision then what happened actually. When Shield broke up people were all into Ambrose and Reigns. Championship was mentioned only within those two names with like questions who's going to get there first as many saw Seth as being lost in the shuffle down the road. Reigns was ubber popular and over after previous RR and Ambrose was always the man. This just proves how hard it is to plan anything long term in wrestling.

Seth Rollins was destined to be a top guy from day one. Triple H booked him to be the first NXT Champion and was the initial face of NXT. He was going to be protected by HHH since day one

Absolutely not.
Stewart made Huckabee. Rollins made Rollins.

The moment Rollins curbstomped Brock Lesnar for the first cash in attempt I knew he would be WWE WHC someday.

Even after Rollins has now cashed in and won the WWE title, I still can't get this vision out my head of Reigns beating Brock Lesnar, and then Seth Rollins cashing in, only to eat a Spear and lose. I still think that's what they were going for in the lead-up to Wrestlemania.

I know that it wasn't, but I feel like Rollins winning at WM should have been the plan from when he first won MitB.
