I was looking, and yeah, 1997 was when they turned it around. I've said it before that WCW Nitro was better then WWF Raw in 1995 and 1996, but around Wrestlemania 13 and afterwards is when WWE started to pick itself back up in the quality department.
Lots of great stuff to go through. WWE Network, like, I wish some of their originals were better to make the whole package great, because it's the old stuff and NXT that's holding them up.

I'm not really one of them Era Sux Attitude Era Rules sort of people but I've been rewatching them starting from the first uploads form Decemeber 1997 and it reminded me of why I got back into wrestling at that time and really what's missing now - there are at least three things that have happened in every episode I've watched so far that I remembered while it takes a months worth of shows in the most recent years (if I am lucky) to get the same amount of memorable moments. I dislike Tom Brandi though rewatching these don't remember having feelings for him one way or the other back when I originally watched them, something about the way he moves in the ring. I like how all the wrestlers REALLY care about everything that happens to them. I just watched Chainsaw Charlie and Cactus Jack taking a chainsaw and a bat, respectively, to the New Age Outlaws' car. WHILE THEY WERE IN IT. But hey, the Outlaws tried to make a name for themsevles by shoving that dumpster off the stage while Cactus and Chainsaw were in there. It's over-the-top and silly, but it's also satisfying to watch.

How long has Triple H "respected" Flair?
I'm watching an episode from January '98 and Triple H just called Flair "old, broken down and bleached blonde".

Triple H was probably doing what he was told with that promo
OT question... I've Ben watching the Raws and then the corresponding PPVs. I just watched Survivor Series '96. Was this the official debut of the Nation? I don't remember seeing it prior to the PPV.

Yes, they joined together when Crush's manager/lawyer Clarence Mason and Faarooq had discussions. Bunch of big dudes (including D'Lo in his WWF debut; he was the 3rd Gangsta in SMW).
Savio joined in February after he turned on Ahmed Johnson in a tag match at MSG. (Was shown on the following week's Raw.)

I can't believe I just watched Tiger Ali Singh vs. The Godfather in a RAW match that was kinda decent. Even had a no contest finish.

Just watched the go home show before survivor series 98 where Rock becomes a huge baby face. Awesome The Rock's build from the smartass of the Nation to the white-hot babyface pre-Survivor Series was amazing and his subsequent heel turn at the PPV itself was just as good. 1998 as a whole was a great time but that period in particular is easily Vince Russo's finest hour. I'm currently up to 'mania 14 in my 1998 marathon and the thing I'm looking forward too most is The Rock's rise.

Loving these
Austin was the man.
The whole year was entertaining, hilarious and well written (most of the time).
1998 was brilliant

Just watching the Raw from after King of the Ring 1998. McMahon has just said about Kane "The only gesture he will ever make with his hand is to raise it to salute the American flag!". Amazing.

The "Extra Attitude" stuff at the end if awesome.
Episode 255 ends with a big brawl between Austin/LOD/Undertaker vs DX/Kane which finishes when for some reason Austin randomly stuns and pins Road Dogg despite there never ever being a hint of an official match.

Watching the first Raw in the list, you can tell that some of Billy Gunn's commentary was recorded in a studio and edited in later.

He re-recorded it in this weird, soft tone that made it obvious. Funnily enough because I noticed Billy's lines being so weird I kept an eye on the commentary desk when it was in shot and the majority of the commentary was overdubbed. Nine times out of ten the voices on the show didn't sync up with the movements of the guys sitting at the desk.

As for my marathon - I've just got past Over the Edge. The build to that show was amazing. In fact this whole period is amazing. Intertwining stories, everyone having something to do.
It's pretty cool seeing The Rock as a heel slowly getting more and more cheers for his peoples elbow as time goes on.

Currently two weeks away from KOTR '98 and at the very beginning of my favourite ever storyline. One that I've revisited as much as I can on youtube - Are the Undertaker and Kane in cahoots?
I cannot wait to go through all this again.

How long has Triple H "respected" Flair? I'm watching an episode from January '98 and Triple H just called Flair "old, broken down and bleached blonde". Pretty much from the moment where Flair came back to WWE after WCW closed. Before that, HHH would gladly say that Flair was a hasbeen who needed to retire etc.

The night after KOTR '98 sees the first round of the "Brawl for it all" (as JR calls it) and the debut of Steven Regal.
Regal comes out doing his blue blood gimmick but to generic rock theme. Weird. Having not watched it since 1998, I thought that he'd debuted as the real man's man.
Blackman vs Mero is up in Brawl For All. Blackman's got this shit figured out by going for takedowns to gain more points. The crowd is not buying into it at all.
"WE WANT WRESTLING" echoes through the arena following round 2.
