I really kinda want one. They have a few around here used. It has most of the games I want to play, and would be a system that would allow me to multitask while I game once again.
Any reasons why I shouldn't?

No way. They suck major dick. I got one a few months ago and it was a piece of crap. I sold it about 3 weeks after.
EDIT: They are only good for watching movies.

If you want a portable game system, don't. There really are very few games for it. The DS has much more to offer in that department.
However, if you want some all inclusive device the i guess go ahead.

Honestly, about the only things I'd be playing on it would be Street Supremacy (aka Shutokou Battle: Zone of Control), WWE SD/Raw 06, Burnout Legends, and maybe a few other titles. The DS is cool I admit, but it's just a little too..quirky for me, believe it or not (and I like quirky). Plus by the time I buy the new DS Lite or Mini or whatever it is, they'll come out with an even smaller one. That happens with me and Nintendo handhelds.

Haha, rad. I'm actually getting one because someone else is bringing one back from China at about a (god knows how much less) amount I'll be paying for mine..and I was like, eh, why not, we can play stuff together.

Once you pick up a big Memory stick (I have a 2Gb one) the PSP will begin to rock.
Music + tv shows FTW!

I'll just sip green tea and rake a zen garden while I wait..

Back when it was the only game in town, I dealt with WWF Attitude load times. Which are like, measured in years.

I'd say yes myself
I already had a DS but picked up a PSP last month because they had released the nirvana of games ......Football Manager
Playing that at work or what have you, rocks (For me anyway)
Also picked up Pro Evo, Daxter & Lemmings......good games

Find an original release (firmware version 1.5) PSP on ebay, then you can put NES, SNES, Genesis, etc, emulators and games on it.

I've never owned one myself, but I've heard some bad things about the durability of the system. One guy at EB Games told me he scratched the screen of his just by taking it out of the box and others have told me that they break way too easily. I don't know if they're rough with them or not, but that's just what I've been hearing about them.

I've had mine since release day (March 14th, 2005, I THINK...somewhere around there) and its been perfect. Just dont drop it or you're screwed, its no Game Boy
