And to give some perspective, while the team had a ton of great players, Bob Probert is often thought of most fondly by a ton of fans, myself included.

Dan Bylsma has signed a 5 year deal with the Sabres. Good call and not a bad Babcock consolation prize for Buffalo. Dan Bylsma is a Stanley Cup winning veteran coach who already coached generational talent of Crosby and Malkin, and was one of the assistant coaches to the US World Championship team this year that featured Jack Eichel.

If reports are true, the groups have been decided for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Group A will consist of Canada, USA, Czech Republic and Team Europe. Group B will have Russia, Sweden, Finland and Team North America.

After 2 periods, there's no score. It's been all Bishop and Lundqvist this game.

The Offense just couldn't get anything done in this game. They should've made this a tight game and they instead let Henrik down.
Congrats Tampa. You deserve this.

also you want to talk about no justice in the nhl how about back in 2003 when stevens hit paul kariya yeah kariya came back and scored but the ducks still lost the series so don't talk about no justice in the nhl sorry for this but this kind of shit pisses me off
and the fact that the rangers played like crap makes me mad too

Win game 1 at home 2-1. Lose next 3 games at home by combined score 10-2. Rangers did not show up at home after game 1.
MSL was not only ineffective but downright ABYSSMAL all postseason, but I think this was also a battle of attrition with the injuries (major and minor) from the last regular season game against Washington all the way to tonight.

The Paul Kariya hit was clean at the time. Absolutely nasty hit, but still clean. Same with the Stevens hit on Lindross.
Anyway, this is both the death of NYR's Game 7 @ MSG winning streak and Lundqvist's Game 7 winning streak.
Valar morghulis.

some people would dispute that hit being clean just like some people say kreider was pushed into price just a matter of perspective i guess

Also, Ben Bishop is the real on the road.
78 shots faced in Tampa, 15 goals allowed. 115 shots faced in New York FOUR goals allowed

This was such a bizarre series because home ice not only didn't give the teams an advantage, they played worse at home than on the road.
Rangers were 1-3 in New York and were outscored 11-4. The Bolts were 1-2 in Tampa and outscored 17-10.

I'm happy. That was one of the best series I've seen on years. Rangers totally surprised me this year and have nothing to be ashamed about. But I always liked Tampa since I was 10 and I'm glad Stamkos is about to get his shot. I don't want him to be like Thornton as one of the best players ever to never get a shot for the cup. Anyways go Ducks. I do not want to see Chelsea Dagger song for home advantage

Long national nightmare is over. This year that Rags team had me scared at the beginning as this might have been good enough to win but thank God that was just my over active imagination

This regular season was the most fun I've had watching a Rangers team. It was obvious that they were enjoying playing with each other.
The playoffs...things just didn't click. And it is heartbreaking.
Major props to Tampa. They played hard and earned it.
