This OT game is exactly what I was talking about in the NBA/NHL playoffs thread. Just exciting, could go either way hockey.

I just saw the play Subban got ejected on, and man, does that guy just not get it at all. It's crazy. He's such a dynamic talent, I want to like him. He embarrassed the entire Lightning team last post-season. But even Montreal fans this regular season were saying that he was going to take stupid penalties in the post-season and cost them. How prophetic they were. This is a game where Pacioretty was out. They needed Subban more than usual. But he goes out (rightfully) on a pretty dirty slash on Mark Stone who has been fantastic for Ottawa during their 2nd half surge. I'm rooting for Montreal in the series, but don't try and take out their best players with dirty shots. I just hate that kind of "hockey". And then he throws a hissy fit in the tunnel. Somebody needs to beat some sense into that kid.

It's Chicago's Cup to lose. With no LA/Boston, nobody else really knows how to win in the playoffs in this day and age (PIT/DET/ANA won Cups since 2005, but that was a LONG time ago).
To be the Man, you got to beat the Man.
And it ain't easy- look what it took for LA to finish them off last year. Or Vancouver 4 years ago.
Almost frittered 3-1 and 3-0 series leads. Took game 7 OT and goals that were fortunate (Martinez's shot off Leddy, Campoli picked off by Burrows)

By the way, did anybody else feel that Dave Cameron set a precedent in his post-game interview regarding the PK Subban slash? He basically said to suspend PK or at the very least "should"(aka will) one of the Ottawa guys get retaliation, then the calls should be even. Seems to me like people definitely will be getting f***ed up in this series.

The Lightning will beat the Red Wings handedly in this series. I'd like to see the Red Wings pull it out but, they're power play scoring and goaltending have been bollocks all season and I think Tampa will take full advantage of that just like they have the few times they've played the Wings during the regular season. Plus, I see Tampa going far in the playoffs with their talent.
As far as Subban goes, I think it's the tantrum he threw in the tunnel that gets on people's nerves more than the dirty slash. The slash is bad enough but, if he had just walked away after being ejected, I don't think he'd be getting nearly the amount of criticism and hatred he's been getting. It's the fact that he did it, and then started getting upset as if he didn't mean it that bothers fans. You meant it. Admit it, take the punishment, learn from it, and move on.

It's the fact that he did it, and then started getting upset as if he didn't mean it that bothers fans. You meant it. Admit it, take the punishment, learn from it, and move on. His non apologetic responses have been just as bad. Like saying oh I've been slashed before and it was clearly a target. Slashing someone's hands is no f***ing joke, Torey Krug nearly lost his finger earlier this year because the slash Zach Parise gave him. You can even google the picture of a chunk of flesh missing of Krug's finger and seeing the bone exposed if you dare. Plus that tantrum he threw wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't have such a history of diving. Like he was the most fined hockey player for diving this year. I really want to like PK Subban I do. The kid is talented as f*** and does have a colorful likeable personality sometimes and sometimes the media and players are too hard on him but then he pulls dirty shit like this, having tantrums, diving, fighting his own teammates, etc. Anyways dude should of got suspended. Ottawa vs. Montreal won't become so bloody if he got suspended plus it sets a dangerous predicament that star players can target other star players and get away with shit like this. Like now Mark Stone has a microfacture on his finger which is an actual serious hockey injury that can really impact the play of the player. Especially if that player is Ottawa's leading goal scorer. Like what a f***ing dirtbag. Montreal fans can't even complain anymore about Kreider running over Carey Price last year if they defend PK Subban blindly and play the martyr card.

And I think the Pens are on, what, their 4th penalty now?
