I was watching an episode of the Howard Stern show, and never once did he advertised the company, and the only time he refered to TNA was to make fun of the name, actually Eric the Midget did a better job promoting it.
He also appeared on Larry King Live and never even talked about tna, actually I can't find an outside interview of Hogan putting TNA over. AJ Styles claims that it happened that way because Hulk was embarrassed of the company and being assosiated with them. I wonder if that's true...and Dixie to this day say it was a good idea signing Hogan.

I've often wondered the same thing. Didn't he go on American Idol or something? He never mentioned TNA..ever. Funny, because it basically became Hogan Knows Best after a while. Dixie STILL thinks Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo where good signings. She still wants Russo back. That woman...

Because Dixie let him and Bischoff do whatever the f*** they wanted. With Vince, he'll actually tell Hogan no, and to promote the company.

Eric the Midget completely did a better job of promoting it and frankly it was pretty stunning to me at least. But honestly his time in TNA made me hate Hogan sorry to say.

Hulk Hogan only cares about Hulk Hogan, it's not uncommon in wrestling for top guys to be that way.
He got into TNA selling the power of the Hogan brand and when that stopped working within a month or two, rather than do anything to try and get it working and use his brand to reach out to lapsed WWF/E/WCW fans, he shied away so not to be associated with an ailing product that was the way it was because of his influence.

The difference between Hogan/TNA and Hogan/WWE is that one is on a leash and the other is allowed to do what he wants. Hogan is Vinces biggest star ever and he knows Hogans best use is for nostalgia and shill merch.

I said it a couple of times before, but TNA had better value for money out of the clip of Jarrett bloodying Hogan with a chair years ago, than anything they got from the guy while he was actually signed to them.
The only thing of worth they got from Hogan when he was actually WITH the company proper, was the (questionable) bragging rights to say that Hogan wrestled his last match with TNA.

It's all about selling the Hulk Hogan brand, BrotherDudeJack. Once he realized that TNA wasn't going to raise the bar, he went into defense mode and protected his brand in order to get back in WWE's good graces & keep his legacy alive.

unfortunately the first time he did a talk show instead of saying "impact Zone" he said "Silverdome". This led to an empty arena at Universal studios and thousands of TNA fans confusedly wandering the abandoned husk that is the Silverdome.

Because Hogan only promotes Hogan. Why do you think he's had so much trouble with his promos since returning to WWE (difficulty saying "WWE Network", the Silverdome/Superdome mix-up)? The guy doesn't know what he's doing when he's talking about non-Hulk Hogan subjects.

"No, brother, ask not what I can do for TNA. Ask what TNA can do for me."
Hogan's "if they'd just thrown more money at it and given Eric the book" rationale when he finally left was as predictable as it was laughable. It always came across as him trying to use the company to keep his profile relevant than what would actually help out TNA in the long run.

I think it's dangerous for anyone to try to understand why the Hulkster does anything the way he does.
I'd imagine a psychic would die trying to read that man's mind.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure the psychic would simply see a neverending rain of hundred dollar bills falling. With the occasional shot of him putting sun tan lotion on his daughters body.

He did go on a UFC show (a Spike TV UFC show) to promote TNA moving to Monday nights. But I think Hogan was really thinking about Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon/WWE, than TNA competing against WWE...

I'll bet they'd just hear "Real American" on loop and start burying all the other professionals I'n their office building. "Don Sherman the chiropractor will never draw, dude."

Hulk really needs someone at this point to keep him on point. He didn't have that in TNA.
