My death pool picks are (in order of confidence they'll die) Grey Worm, Shireen, Bronn, Thormund and Missendei.
I've read the books but I'm working off the basis of that reveal that characters still alive in the books will be killed off this season.

How much flat man ass can you have in one episode? They're making up for showing so much boobs in the previous seasons.

Stannis is such a f****** idiot. I don't see why anyone likes him. He is to me what Jaime Lannister is to Snakebite. People like him and I don't get it whatsoever. Here, let me burn the leader of the group I want helping me retake the north. Not to mention said group outnumbers me a shitload to one.
Oh...shit. I forgot. How am I supposed to ensure their loyalty now?
I've read the books and know what happens next here but, still. I'd like to hear why anyone likes Stannis. This guy:
1. Killed his own brother and then refused to take any responsibility for it.
2. Treats his family like complete shit.
3. Is too stupid to realize Melisandre is not to be trusted.
4. Burns people simply for disagreeing with him.
5. Shits all over the only guy who shows him any loyalty.
I guess, like Hodor, he's now too much of a meme for people to not like for some f****** reason.

Seriously just bow your head at the most, your people will no longer be labeled bandits and raiders and have lands of their own to grow and raise as their own. {Spoiler}{Book Spoilers} Judging of course, that they keep to the books and reveal Jon smuggles him out and fakes his death. But knowing them, they likely have killed him off.

Nice episode, some differences from the books.
Disappointed they kept the prophecy angle for Cersei. One of the weaker aspects of Martin's writing "I've made a great villain... I know! I'll explain their villianous intent with prophecy mitichlorians! Now, who wants a smoke baby!?"
Dany is going to fall and fall hard this season.
Marge seems a bit more devious this season, I'm game.
Hesitant at the cult plotline, I don't want to root for Cersei, but I hate cults.
Really wish a wildling would shoot Mellisandre and shoot that plot device fast. But I did enjoy her less than subtle come on to Jon.
Varys and Tyrion off to Dany, hopefully moving that plot into something useful. Sadly will likely end with one of them dying instead.
And I'm genuinely interested in a Sansa plot. Wooo!
Overall, looking forward to the next step!

Dany's mindset at this point just makes me laugh: "Yeah, f*** you, Barriston Selmy! What do you know Mr....greatest knight in the seven kingdoms! Here, I'll take the advice of ser bearded Fabio." Guess Tyrion and Varys are going to have to bail her out soon. {Spoiler}Depending on if they dropped the "Aegon" storyline.

He believes in his convictions and honor above all. 1. He took responsibility for it after he lost Blackwater, but then Mel talked to him. Also, he believed in his right to rule by birth order, and killing Renly got him a giant army. 2. His family treats themselves like complete shit, his wife is a true believer, and she doesn't like her daughter. 3. As much as I hate to admit it, she's been right about everything and has supernatural powers. She rightfully spinned losing Blackwater due to him not trusting her. 4. Say what you will, the Set People On Fire God is the only one that makes itself known. And the Set People On Fire God requires sacrifice of heretics. 5. And that guy betrays him constantly or goes againt his wishes. Though Stannis likes to keep him around as a moral compass.

I think it was Martin or maybe an early reviewer stated a character alive in the books dies in the show. I think that's the one with certain information on certain plots removed from Jon's storyline.
The episode was a B+, it was setup mostly, establishing the characters again. I assume there will be more from that Cersei flashback, without more, it's pretty pointless.

Sucks because Wyman Manderly is one of my favorites in the book.

And that guy betrays him constantly or goes againt his wishes. Though Stannis likes to keep him around as a moral compass. Stannis isn't a great guy, but he's a greater guy than most of the other pretenders. The Lannisters are reviled, and who else is there? The Dornish are off and doing their own thing as always. Dany is struggling to do much of anything and takes her advice from a backstabbing mercenary paramour. That fourth point might be the most important one. GoT really undersells the effects of religion in the story. Just about everyone believes in a higher power, and the little fire cult is gaining support because it's the one with the most evidence. Stannis is an acolyte of that faith and subjects are rallying around it either out of fear, belief, or both.

So given that none of the characters in the show are safe since it's going to deviate from the book, my prediction on the big death of this season is {Spoiler}Loras Tyrell. He apparently suffers a nasty injury in the book anyway, so I can see the show going all the way and offing him.
