I remember being baffled when TNA launched on Destination America with the exact same business model which was failing them on Spike. Here’s two simple changes I would have made;
Cut Impact to 60 minutes I absolutely hate 3 hours of Raw, whereas shows like NXT positively zip by. And for a company trying to save money, having a smaller roster with no filler seems like a smart move.
Forget PPV’s and hold a 3 hour “special event” every other month on free TV Hold it on a Saturday or Sunday night in a proper arena and book storylines that build towards a payoff – rather than just dragging them on forever.

I don't think anyone will shed too many tears if TNA goes out of business, this isn't like ten, seven, or even three years ago. The rise of LU and New Japan as well has proven that there is alternatives out there for people to watch and wrestlers to go to. There are more places for guys to go to and make a decent living nowadays. TNA right now is little more than a Medium sized Indy.

It all goes to the heart of TNA's problems: they've never cultivated a larger audience, because they have always wanted instant gratification. "OMG, numbers aren't going high enough, hire/fire/rehire/refire Vince Russo! Hire Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff! Bring back Jarrett! Wait, fire them, try this booking committee! Wait, bring the old guys back, and put THEM all in one committee! Oh noes, ratings not rising fast enough, RUSSO TIME AGAIN!". There was never a long term vision, sadly. You can't get your audience to consistently build up unless you have a truly identifiable brand that fans can grow attached to and identify with, but TNA's always been one extended cut of "Too Many Cooks" when it comes to this stuff. hopefully TNA goes out of business soon I could agree with that during the era of "TNA has plenty of money and pays the Knockouts nothing", but why would wrestling fans want any company to go out of business? So that it's harder for the wrestlers who are signed there to make a living? Now we're in the era of TNA pays no one anything, lol.

I used to be a huge TNA fan. It was my company and I supported it through thick and thin...but by 2010 they started to lose me. Now I just want it to be taken out back and shot. They've been given too many chances, they'll never be bigger than they are now.

I have mentioned that the ultimate thing that would doom TNA is if Lucha Underground eventually become ultimately the #2 brand with El Rey if El Rey gets more viewers than Destination America.
If TNA loses that #2 spot, they are done as they will lose the bigger time wrestlers on their roster.

To be fair, is there such a thing as TNA apologists anymore? It seems even they have finally given up. there were some on another forum (who insisted he has no idea whom Edge is, but if TNA signs him, the ratings will change bigger than Hogan, but still dont know who he was, ditto to Alberto del rio, cm punk, etc. Al.l game changers, but had no idea who they were, nor didnt realize Edge cant wrestle anymore. Oh, and how Velvet and Taryn were better wrestlers than AJ or Paige, but minute AJ left, was like AJ comes to TNA will be a game changer crap. And also hated Jesse Sorenson for betraying TNA yadda yadda, ) but i went there last week asnd dont see them, so they either quit, or more likely, got banned I am assuming most were trolls, since they (as well as that King guy who used to post here) cant be this stupid and blind???

I know who you was talking about SpecialFNK or something like that. Openly admitted he doesn't watching anything but TNA and only from 2010.

The thought of Good Ol' JR calling lucha matches is more than a little comical. So many modified armdrags and slams will be called.

You know, given TNA's incredibly shady behavior sometimes, like complete disregard for wellness, I am almost surprised we're in 2015 and this is the "DA deal" being discussed.

Meh, who needs TNA
NXT provides the alternative product that TNA failed to offer.

Where's Rick Grimes to put down TNA? Get Carol. "Look at the flowers, Dixie."

From what I've heard about Lucha Underground - though not anything I've looked into much or anything given I've never watched it - TNA absolutely crushes it in viewer numbers.

TNA can move wherever they want. The problem remains constant. Dixie Carter. THIS. People need to replace all of your angry posts with the words "them" or "they" to the words "her" or "she". If we're going to be pissed, let's direct it at the right person. Someone who has zero clue how to run a f***ing wrestling company on a channel that doesn't know how to run a wrestling show.

If true, that is one thing TNA can keep in mind as a good thing. Once TNA loses that highest rated alternative, they will be done.

To quote Al Bundy, TNA is the almighty cockroach. No matter how much you stomp and poison it, TNA survives and feast on shit.

I honestly think being called TNA is a problem. Tell a non-wrestling fan about TNA and see what their response is. Are they going to think it's a wrestling company for sure? I have my doubts. I think that's a constant problem as well.
The company isn't run very well and it shows no matter who you bring in, ratings aren't going to make a difference. If they really wanted a big boost, they should put on the best product they can instead of going with the mindset of bringing in former WWE talent and thinking that's going to draw people to watch.

Believe me, I get disliking the Carters, but "this show sucks" isn't a reason to hope for a number of wrestlers to lose one of the few steady (well, as "steady" as TNA can be right now) contract-money gigs out there.
Also, let's not pretend a lot of wrestling fans gave up on wrestling because of how bad TNA has been: not enough people have watched TNA for that to be the case.
I think Dixie is a horrible owner, and they've done some awful business practices through the years; I'm a believer that if wrestling companies that have the resources to do so can't treat their wrestlers decently, then they should be out of business. But it's also a nasty environment out there for US wrestlers, and I don't want to see a bunch of them out of work.

But with the current pay issues the wrestlers are busting their asses for a paycheck that may or may not be coming... is that really worse than trying to get indy bookings? edit: That said personally I don't want TNA to die... I just don't care if TNA lives...
