I have BOTH versions of that Rodman. And it towered over every other WCW action figure, even The Giant.

Oh my god, I lost my shit at this. Anyway you can't really do WCW without bringing up the 'Gross-Out' line.

While not a true WCW product, I saw this Rodman figure the other day and felt it's just too out there not to share in a WCW thread.

Anyway you can't really do WCW without bringing up the 'Gross-Out' line. I don't know what it is about those, but I actually kind of like the design of them. I went looking to see if there were any more, which led me to the Slam Force series. I really don't know what to think of them. I also spotted this:

The most realistic part of that last one was the Daredevil shirt, which… how were they able to sell that? The WWE video games had to alter his Pepsi logo tattoo for copyright. The WCW figures were produced by Toybiz, which was at that point in time a division of Marvel comics so male pattern baldness Raven got to use Daredevil. Toybiz went on to make the Marvel Legends figures, some of which reused tooling from WCW figures so you have parts from the likes of Hardcore Hak and Buff Bagwell on guys like Thor and Namor.

Oh sure, the ONE WCW action figure I own is on this list. (Yeah, I was a Raven guy. I bought his shirt at Wal*Mart - the only non-nWo or Goldberg shirt on the rack. So, my wife's cousin bought me the Raven figure for Christmas.)
That phone, though, geez oh man that's hilarious. WCW was a little behind the times. They didn't understand people in 1998-99 wanted "car phones", not "home phones that looked like cars".

I also spotted this: I don't care if WCW has been dead for 14 years and a lot of these guys are retired or semi-retired. There needs to be first run syndication Mutant League-type show based on these figures! I don't know how you'd incorporate the Slam Force guys into this, but do that too!

I don't care what anyone says, that Bret Hart Slam Force is hella cool.
Now, Gross-Out "eye-popping Sting" looks like one of the nameless minions Skeletor would send after He-Man. (And Skeletor would probably turn on him, too.)

Anyway you can't really do WCW without bringing up the 'Gross-Out' line. There was an amazing missed opportunity with the Sid figure by not giving him only half a brain.
