There's nothing quite like a mesmerizing bass line to get you in the groove, so what are your favorite bass lines? Any genre is welcome.
My first nominee is the iconic bass line from "Money" by Pink Floyd. Somewhat odd in 7/4 time it just grabs you from jump street.

The bass line in Gorgeous by Kanye West is hypnotic.

Iron Maiden - Wrathchild is the first to come to mind, then Loverboy - Turn Me Loose. My favorite band is Motorhead, but maybe that'd be cheating, makes it too easy.

There's something appealing about "just" having the bass and drums.

Either "Badge" by Cream or "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye, the former being the main reason I picked up the four string

Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik by Outkast. The it's 4 chords and the bass just rides underneath it perfectly. Live instrumentation with hip-hop pretty much guarantees great bass lines, or they pick a good one to sample.
