When we first got into wrestling, depending on our ages, we might have thought something really far fetched in our minds.
Like, I thought a wrestler could make more money if he was good enough to have quick matches, he could run to the back and put on a mask and wrestle again in the same night and make twice as much money.
Same went for referees, just stay in the ring and keep working matches.
I never gave a thought to went on backstage and I quite enjoyed those days.
How about you?

Guess I'll be the guy wondering when Hogan psyches himself up, "Why doesn't anybody kick him in the nuts?"

That a no dq match would just be two guys kicking each other in the nuts over and over.

I thought the Rockers lived together, and if you went to the WWE building (used to drive past it on family road trips) the whole roster would be there and you'd be welcomed and given a grand tour

I thought wrestling had an official rule book.
I thought Bobby Heenan was being serious whenever Vince or Gorilla would speak ill of a heel and Bobby said "I'm gonna tell him you said that!" I had this image of Vince or Gorilla being cornered in a hallway by some pissed-off heel who would say "I heard what you said about me!"
That Randy Savage and Elizabeth really did get married at SummerSlam '91. Only when I was older did I learn that they were married long before that, and the "Match Made in Heaven" was all storyline. I suppose what happened at the reception should have tipped me off that this wasn't a legitimate wedding but hey, I didn't know any better.

If you lost a casket match to the Undertaker, you had to leave WWF. I started really watching in '96 and based this off old Coliseum Videos.

Wrestlers could go anywhere they wanted and wrestle whoever they wanted. So WWF heels not coming into the sportatorium was believable BC seven yr old me thought they were chicken shit and afraid of the Von Erich boys. Someone may have actually told me that so likely I believed it. Flair came in, Harley Race came in, Andre the Giant came in, Rick Rude was heavyweight champion then was on WWF TV like a month later.

I started watching right before King of the Ring 1993, so I thought every episode of WWF TV was a tournament. So when Mr.Perfect beat a jobber in the first match on WWF Challenge, I thought he just moved to the next round and a couple weeks later when he would be on Challenge again wretling Virgil or El Matador, that that was the second round. I had no concept that people just wrestled single matches for no prize, I just thought everyone was trying to be King of the Ring at all times.

That they had an actual win\loss record book. That it was real. Even at the house shows, someone was calling the matches.

I thought the angry yelling ref (Jack Kruger) was working with the heels, like Danny Davis but not as arrogant about it.

During the jobber-squash days, there were two busses with wrestlers arriving at the arena. One with stars and one with jabronis. Then they paired up one guy from each bus with another and had a match. Only if there were a surplus of stars would there be a star vs star match.
