Jones should be suspended indefinitely for this. The UFC is enabling his behavior by not doing anything. It's not like this is his first rodeo with drugs/car accidents/irresponsible behavior.

I truly believe that Jones is the best pound-for-pound fighter the UFC has ever seen ... with that being said, if any of this story is true then he should never be allowed to fight in UFC again and he should be stripped of the title immediately. It's one thing to be reckless with yourself - taking cocaine - it's another thing entirely to be reckless enough that it effects others like the pregnant lady - that could have been disastrous. The second your decisions start hurting others, you need to be stopped.

Dana is probably ready to pin a medal on his chest. He enabled him a few years ago but doing absolutely nothing when he was arrested for a DUI. He gave him a slap on the wrist during that hold positive drug test thing. He helped create this situation by doing nothing about Jones's antics.
If Jones fled the scene, then he's a coward.

Great fighter, possibly one of the GOAT, but you gotta take his title and at the very least suspend him indefinitely if not cut ties altogether.

The driver involved in the accident, a 25-year-old pregnant woman, and a person whose car she hit told police that a black male wearing a white button-up shirt and dark pants “ran onto a hill” nearby before he “slouched over” and ran back to the car. The male allegedly “shoved the cash into his pants and ran north,” according to the report. An off-duty police officer, also named in the report, said he witnessed Jones flee the Buick and run up a dirt hill. He did not see Jones run back to the vehicle. The police officer who identified Jones from the rental-car documents in the SUV said he attempted to contact Jones but was unsuccessful. And here I thought the "point" of a hit-and-run was to drive away without anyone knowing it was you, not literally running away from your own car, which still has your identification information inside it. |

this sucks, because I really like Jones. He doesn't have the personality of a dick athlete, and always comes across as humble despite being the top fighter in the world. But he needs help
