Obviously the label WWE uses for the women's division is a very small part of the problem. Let's assume WWE wants there to be a healthy women's wrestling division as a prominent part of the program, with the writing to support it. (BWAHAHAHAHA) I think everyone can agree that "Diva" is a term with less than positive connotations, both intrinsically and because of the treatment WWE has given the division over the years.
What does WWE call the women's division? It makes sense for WWE's branding for there to be a female counterpart to WWE Superstar. Or does Superstar go gender neutral?

I've never understood calling them divas, it makes them sound like a bunch of stuck up bitches.
Why they can't just be women's wrestlers is beyond me, or just refer to them as Superstars like the guys.

Or does Superstar go gender neutral? I think that would be the best step forward. The correct label to use would be Superstars for the women wrestlers and WWE Women's Championship for an updated normal looking title belt. But then you get down to the problem that, really, WWE has no interest in the women being serious attractions as wrestlers on level with the men. They don't want this They want this

If the WWE is actually willing to rebrand and build up the women's wrestling division to be a prominent part of the problem, and write it well enough to support it as a prominent part of the program, then there would be no issue with the term 'Diva'.
If it seems like it would be- all it'd take is one ad campaign of "Every woman is a Diva", similar to Disney with "Every girl is a princess", and the term's officially owned and rebuilt.

I would like them to do a "Nexus" on it have the NXT women invade, have them talk how the divas aren't fit to call them selves champion or even wrestlers. Have it turn out Paige and Nattie are behind bringing them up. Have the current divas flat out destroyed. The NXT faction then vows to put on a show every match. The run the divas out of town and rebrand the title to the women's title or Superstar title, something.
Meanwhile all the current divas who aren't Paige and Nattie head down to NXT and train. Once they are all better, they come for their revenge. And now you have a pretty big, awesome women's division to the point you could rock a network show based on it.
What they will do is rebrand the title "The Vag Badge" and we will have to listen to King and JBL be dip shits about it.

Honestly, I think calling them superstars would be a step in the right direction. The women's championship always sounded so much better than the divas title. They need to drop the butterfly and go to a legit title design. Plus as others mentioned don't base the division around the women acting like divas.

At this point Diva doesn't even mean Diva anymore when it comes to the WWE, it's just synonymous with female wrestler the same way WWE superstar is. Doesn't really bother me.

Still thinking of a ring card girl when hearing "Diva" with a subtle demeaning tone. Women's Division, superstars would be better but as kidglov3s said: it's ring card girl wwe wants

Ditch 'Divas.' If you have to put a name to this division, call it the 'Women's Division.' #DitchDivas

If you were going to rebrand them and do an overhaul of the division, but still keep your insane McMahon buzzwords, just call them Superstars. Have them be apart of the roster, and not separate from it, if you get me.

Bring Chimel back to TV, rename it so he will say "woman's", just so Cole can reply "IT'S WIMMENS!!!" again.

On NXT, the wrestlers themselves refer to their division as the womens' division, while the announcers still use Diva. I don't know if that's indicative of anything, but I like hearing Diva the least amount possible.
