Everything's a shoot now, lol It's 2011 TNA except with slightly fewer middle-aged fogies hanging around in the main event!

Ryder lost his mojo when they put him out there with Bryan and Punk, and he just completely looked like amateur hour yardtard in their wake. Ryder had one bad promo where he was with two main eventers, when all he wanted was to hang out in the midcard. Better make sure to bury him into oblivion and then people will somehow blame Ryder for this. I feel like I have to make this point every time it comes up (not to you, to the first poster) so then people actually remember what happened instead of acting like they got Ryder to cut a pipebomb promo. It wasn't even a bad promo, it was one sentence. One. Sentence. That's it. It wasn't a monologue, it wasn't an emotionally invested heartfelt expression of compassion. It was him saying if it was a dream and it not being one which, putting it up there with Punk and Bryan, was completely and utterly fine and the right way of doing it. One week's worth of ratings (ridiculously) got Ryder buried.

Because lord know it's the fans fault that the writers decide to book someone into oblivion and take away the things that got them over in the first place. Also, "I can make them love me." Your face turn disagrees, Miz, lol. Actually, in Miz's defense they didn't really do anything with his face push. He could've actually been a great face if they pushed him, made him into a serious threat, and more or less continued to push him as a cocky arrogant hero. Similar to Rock if you will.

Good lord we overuse and misuse "shoot" now. It's the "literally" of the ISEC.

I like the bit where he talks about guys not changing their shtick in four years like it's a good thing. That's not a good thing, that's a bad thing.

One week's worth of ratings (ridiculously) got Ryder buried. Which never, ever happens to guys that the WWE actually want to push. There's always a reason why a super push must roll on while guys like Ryder only get one sliver of a chance.

Blame the fans. They are the ones who decide what the performers do on TV and how well they are featured.

That's not an in-character interview. He's expressing genuine criticism here, even though it's completely wrong and he's fundamentally misunderstood why guys like Riley, Ryder and Sandow lost/will lose momentum. I can't decide whether Miz is just cynically expressing views he knows will be popular with WWE management, or he's legitimately dense.

There's always a reason why a super push must roll on while guys like Ryder only get one sliver of a chance. Ratings were always going to go down that week. Cena wasn't showing up and it was lead by three unproven draws in a city that would have appreciated it the most after a lacklustre PPV. So why couldn't Ryder have just been a mainstay on the midcard? It would have done that U.S. title a lot of good to have been made to look important with someone over that people loved leading the charge. It wasn't like the fans demanded him to be pushed to the world title picture, they just wanted him on TV. The fact of the matter is because of how they treated him and basically punished the fans for liking a guy, it made me lose faith in the company knowing how to take advantage of anyone. Even Roman Reigns was being wedged into the John Cena mould before WrestleMania and getting apathy for it.

Even Roman Reigns was being wedged into the John Cena mould before WrestleMania and getting apathy for it. They gleefully set him up to fail to try and crush the will of the audience, it was an act of pure unadulterated spite on the WWE's part. Ryder isn't world title material, I don't even believe he's US title material, his level is as a perma over jobber to the stars like Stevie Richards, Funaki or Disco Inferno but the way they crushed him at his peak means he's not even there anymore, he's had everything taken from him and is just a warm body that used to have a fanbase, like when a guy like Jim Brunzell or Greg Valentine showed up in the mid 90s as jobbers or card fillers, or Raven with short hair and black trunks.
