He's a big bad dude...but when he talks he's such a goober. I'm not sure if it makes him better or worse.

Better. Heels aren't supposed to be cool. Cool gets you cheered, and that defies the point of being a heel.

Sheamus really looks like the biggest dork ever visually, says dorky insults, acts like one, and makes horrible stipulations like kissing me arse. Dude is being booked perfectly as a heel and Sheamus is just knocking out it of the park

He really won me over as a face for how much of a dick he was and it seemed like Sheamus himself knows his character is really a heel but doesn't give a f***. He's just seemed so happy to be there it was heart warming. Yeah it sucked for his career but not for my own personal satisfaction

I just feel like if he didn't talk, he could actually be just a big piece if shit that destroys people. And I could see that getting him cheered....but they don't usually paint him as a dork who is lucky enough to be a big tough guy. They just call him a big tough guy. I know WWE isn't big on character development or subtleties but I'd appreciate that touch.

I think his new heel makeover makes him seem like a complete badarse honestly. I'd take him as World Champion over Rollins anyday.

I actually think his new haircut looks less stupid than his old one. That Bart Simpson haircut was so awful.

For example, Sheamus saying "Santino didn't beat me, because I beat myself!" *confused face* Or King Sheamus. I know people didn't like that run because he was eventually booked to be totally ineffectual, but he was also superb at getting faces over during that time period (he gave Santino some momentum and put John Morrison over huge). If they let him be more credible in the ring, winning some matches here and there, he'll do great. Sheamus is one of the most talented people on the roster. He has good matches, he's a good talker, and he's exceptional at playing a character. I'm glad that people are giving him some credit now.

In fairness, I think most people weren't criticising Sheamus, but the character, as was often the case with Cena - I think Sheamus was already a face by the time I joined this forum, but people were begging him to turn heel as soon as WM28 happened. He was a lightning rod for a while but especially after cooler heads prevailed the morning after Mania most people realised that Sheamus himself wasn't the problem, he was being booked appallingly. As for Sheamus - in this incarnation, he has leapt up into being one of my fave five already.

Sounds like a dork... looks like one too. I'm sorry but I'm not buying heel Sheamus this time around. That look kills it for me. Put it like this...if I seen Brock Lesnar coming after me I would shit my pants. If I seen Sheamus coming after me I'd just laugh. Why compare the two? Both are presented as badasses. Ass kickers should look the part and Sheamus looks like a level one boss on Streets of Rage than this tough guy. He needs his old look back. That and not sounding so dorky. Less is more in this case.

The entire package is awesome.
He's not Brock Lesnar, but he's not supposed to be. It's two distinctly different characters. Brock is like the shark from Jaws or maybe more appropriately King Kong since you can actually see where Kong is coming from. Basically he's a force of nature.
Sheamus ain't that. Sheamus is a bully. Sheamus is Biff in Back to the Future, or Johnny Lawrence in Karate Kid.
The more you can slather on the assholish bulliness, the BETTER.

Sheamus is one of the only guys in this company who knows what it means to be a true heel. He plays his position and he kills while doing it. That's greatness right there.
