i like Mad Max 2, 1 is a bit boring and 3 is 2 films smashed together and doesn't make a lick of sense.
i hate Forever (Malcolm) Young. and i also hate bird on a wire.
other then that i don't think i've ever really seen his films, the lethal weapon series didn't interest me in the slightest, but i suppose it may make some of the jokes in Loaded weapon 1 even funnier if i did see it.

Beyond Thunderdome and the Lethal Weapon movies are alright, Braveheart is fun, The Patriot is so bad it's kinda good, Pocahontas is eh.
Otherwise, he seems like kind of a jerk.

Though he was out of line people have been forgiven for worse and it seems to be more Hollywood not forgiving him rather then the people/audience.
I can still watch his stuff objectively, it's easier for me to seperate the work from the person unless it's extreme cases.

I'm Jewish so my opinion on Mel Gibson is obviously biased. And that opinion is "f*** that antisemitic piece of trash."

I haven't really enjoyed his films since 2000.
Million Dollar Hotel was the last thing I saw him in that I was like, "Yeah, this guy's pretty good."

Ransom is underrated, though more for Gary Sinise's performance than Mels.

As an actor yes, I like him. Always have.
As a director, I find him to be a hack. His grasp of historical accuracy for example is piss poor.

Yes as He was by far the most enjoyable part of the shitty Machete Kills (haven't seen the third expendables film yet so can't comment on that one)and honesty while the guy did out himself as a bigoted moron I did find how the cast and crew of the second hangover film not wanting to work with him was extremely hypocritical when they had no problems working with a convicted rapist. I agree the Hangover thing was pretty messed up. Although I actually think Tyson was innocent since a lot of the statements made in that trial just didn't add up. I haven't Machete Kills yet...or at least not all of it. I saw the first one and thought it was kind of underwhelming after all the hype. I'd be down to watch Machete Kills at some point, but it's not like I'm dying to.

His grasp of historical accuracy for example is piss poor. He's no worse than someone like Milos Forman who gets a pass.
