I will always love Chevy just for participating in the best TV show ever, but isnt the word on the street that he's REALLY banged up/demented? Why does he force himself to do another movie? I believe he's only making a cameo in it. Same goes for Beverly D'Angelo.

That...I'm not sure how I feel. I mean, I loathe rehashes, but it's Vacation and that's one of my all time favorite movies, and there's a clear homage to the original, but...please tell me they don't go overboard with "Rusty is an idiot who doesn't get double entendres now" bit. One or two, I can deal with those, but, Clark wasn't an idiot so Rusty shouldn't be either. He is, after all, Mr.Papageorgio.
Oh, and if we don't get at least one Chevy rant, I will be seriously angry.

So...let's take the the 21 Jump Street formula of 'self-mock the idea of the movie we're doing' and throw in some late-era Sandler poo jokes with a dice of Scary Movie 'jump scare joke' recreations of memorable moments humor.
It probably has some semblance of the original in it...but the need to update it will probably drag it down a few notches.
...
Pretty funny punchline following the Hemsworth part, though.

I laughed at the "original Vacation" run but I enjoy humor like that

This is co-written and co-directed by the kid from Freaks and Geeks and Bones.

Talented cast, but that looks like shit, even as a standalone movie.

Does anybody think it's weird that they showed a picture of Anthony Michael Hall when Ed Helms is talking about the vacation he went on as a kid? I know that he's playing Rusty, but it's kinda strange. Like if there was a scene in The Dark Knight where Maggie Gyllenhaal looked at a photo of Katie Holmes and talked about how she was back then.

Oh, and if we don't get at least one Chevy rant, I will be seriously angry. That would be the only reason I'd even watch this bag of drek. I saw the trailer yesterday. The only ranting will be by the people unfortunate enough to pay for it. (Edit: I didn't notice "National Lampoon's" mentioned, I just saw "Vacation". Did I miss it?)

Going to guess the ending:
They get to Wallyworld to discover it's closed. Permanently this time.

Hopefully this is one of those cases where they don't show any of the funny parts in the trailer so as to keep audiences confused, yet interested...

At least they finally aged the kids, but you pretty-much had to at this point. Plus since Vegas sucked they are now due for a good one. I get the feeling it will be good.

I actually think it looks pretty solid, as much as a comedy trailer can sell you on anything. It seems closer to We're The Millers in terms of trip movie, and I was pleasantly surprised by that.

Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron were the best Rusty and Audrey but because of their age I understand why they wouldn't want them back for the European, Christmas and Vegas Vacation movies. On this particular movie the casting for Rusty and Audrey is terrible. Bring back Hall and Barron. That's not even the story. She talked about it on the Vacation DVD extras that the reason why they changed the kids in European was a scheduling conflicted with Anthony so they end up changing both. Dana was more then on board with doing European but they didn't pull the trigger on it. By the time Christmas and Vegas was filmed Dana for one been out of acting for many years. Anthony who knows where he was. I guess after the first kid change it became more a running gag.

That's really my only gripe with this movie. It's that we're so close from that movie that it just feels like an early rehash.
