What do you think Goodell's approval rating would be currently, as well as the following events: Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, and Deflategate (all of them before, during, and after)? this is just a pure guess on my part from the fans perspective before all of them 70ish During Ray Rice 25, after 20 During AP 15, after 10 during deflategate 20, after 10 Could it also apply to the general public as well (i.e., those that don't care about football). Going off-topic, according to an ABC/ESPN poll, the general consensus is that the punishment levied against the Pats are appropriate, but the same poll also stated that they aren't the only team to bend the rules. Finally, I'd argue that Deflategate is more akin to Sammy Sosa's corked bats and the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

With the new PAT rule, I think teams will start to use a 2pt specialist team. 6 OL, the tallest WRs, a FB, and a Vick/Tebow style QB.

Jets OC Chan Gailey said there will be no quarterback competition heading into training camp, and Geno Smith will "probably" be the starter Week 1.

The two teams against the extra point changes Raiders Redskins As a Redskins fan, doesn't surprise me. I've seen us routinely shank PATs and short field goals.

The two teams against the extra point changes Raiders Redskins Why should the Raiders care? They never score touchdowns anyway.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the NFL's desire to have a team in Los Angeles by 2016 "cannot be understated."
NFL suspended Bills DT Marcell Dareus one game for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Domestic violence charges against former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice were dismissed Thursday, NBC News reports.
An Atlantic City judge confirmed Rice completed a pretrial intervention program, prompting prosecutors to issue a dismissal order.
Rice was charged after being captured on video punching his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer, in the face in a casino elevator.
Rice was reinstated from indefinite suspension by the NFL last year, but has yet to sign with a team.

The complaint filed against Broncos DE Antonio Smith in November is "sexual in nature."
NBC Denver reported Thursday morning that Smith is being investigated for child abuse. The Fort Bend (Texas) County Sheriff's department conducted an investigation before passing its findings onto the DA's office in February. It's unclear if the DA plans to press charges. The Broncos say they are "aware" of the situation.

Here's the thing about Rice and why his best hope is to get on a practice squad, he f***ing sucked his last year in the league. So teams look at him and say "He averaged 3 yards a carry his last full season, and there are younger backs out there that we can get for cheaper." Rice isn't worth the headache. Greg Hardy's last full year in the NFL was fantastic, so Dallas took a chance on him.

It is just a joke on the fact that they took in Hardy, kept Bryant (though his issues seemed to be actually partially medical in nature), and supposedly coveted Peterson.

Dallas reportedly is bringing in a few free agents for workouts, including Felix Jones.
I get that Felix's best days are behind him and he wasn't even in the league last year; and hell Dallas released him in the first place. Don't care. The Arkansas homer in me just wants to see him and Mcfadden in the same backfield in some capacity again.

He is only on a 1 year deal for low money so it wouldn't be a major loss however, Reading more on this, the investigation started mid last year (EDIT: it was started in Nov. according to Mike Klis, not mid 2014 like another site said) and was passed on to the DA 3 months ago with no movement since so I feel like cutting him with nothing solid out there is shitty. I mean there aren't even charges or even solid allegations (made public) so hurting a career and family over something that may be nothing sucks. No good way to handle this.

As much as I don't like Dallas, he'd really be going into the best situation he could possibly go into. No team has a better line than Dallas, and with McFadden there won't be much of a dropoff from Demarco from last season.
