I make this thread for 2 reasons
1. I wasn't much on either decade, so I'll enjoy FANS cutting on them
And 2 I was kinda inspired when my brother was listening to spotify and "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" came on
I wasn't wild about it back in the day, but it really struck me as well, put it this way, if I was a fan and I was trying to turn someone younger onto that era of music, I'd be kinda embarrassed
This thread is all pretty much opinion of course, but some things may be the general consensus

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say The Matrix. Not a bad movie by any means, but not quite the movie it was to me in 7th grade. I know it's still generally a beloved movie though.

I never cared for Americana, not now, not at the time.

Nu metal. Kids today are so used much heavier and harder acts, I can't really see them getting into something that looks like a watered down version.

Kevin Smith movies aren't nearly as fun for me these days. I thought it was just Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but I tried to watch Dogma recently. It used to be my favorite comedy movie ever. Now, it's kind of tough to get through the whole thing. I have a feeling Mallrats may be the same way.
Clerks 2 is still fun, probably because it's newer. Clerks is timeless and I'd probably still really dig it. Also, Chasing Amy is a more mature and intriguing story (despite the ending) so I could probably still have a blast watching that. I still like a bunch of Strike Back, Dogma, and Mallrats, but as a whole they just kind of drag on a lot more than how I remember them.

My knees LOL Anyway, even though I grew up in the 90's, I'm more of an 80's girl. I don't think Dunkaroos are around anymore.

A lot of those "adult" cartoons. There are some that still work (Daria, The Critic, classic Simpsons, Futurama), but stuff like Celebrity Deathmatch, Sealab 2021 (ironically, it was at its best when it was just crazy random humor), all those Spike TV shows are just weak. Heck, outside of the music video riffing, even Beavis and Butthead is pretty dated, and even South Park and Family Guy look tired compared to stuff like Rick and Morty and Bob's Burgers.

I got the Daria DVD set back in October and I only got through about three episodes before I put it away and haven't revisited it since. It wasn't... bad? But tbh it was one of the first things to come to mind when I saw this thread. I think it could just be the difference between when I first watched Daria I was in elementary school and now I'm 10 years out of high school, and it's just... hard for me to relate or care about the stories where before that wasn't something I was probably able to conceive of being an issue. I think for modern teenagers/pre-teens, Daria should still work. If the DUFF can work, Daria's way better than that.

Eminem's attitudes to women Eminem's attitudes toward gay people Eminem's coat tail riders D12When it comes to D12, I had always liked Proof as a rapper. However, it's a shame he was killed a long time ago. I didn't have a problem with the other guys like Kuniva, Swifty, Kon Artis or Bizarre, but out of all of the members, I liked Proof. When it comes to Em's coat tail riders, does that also include Obie Trice? I thought he was a good rapper.
