That poor guy from the new Robocop probably thought this was a step up?

You can tell they wanted to do a Usual Suspects style police line up picture.
But Guardians of the Galaxy beat them by about year and a half.

Costumes look about as good as any other comic book film, "accuracy" notwithstanding.

I agree, The Costumes are terrible, As a rag tag team of untrained, disposable merchs going on missions they never get time to train for they should really be wearing bright primary colored spandex outfits....

It's a comic book movie. He'll have the mask on maybe 5 minutes tops. Thor doesn't wear his helmet, Cap doesn't wear his protective headgear, we see Iron Man more in the HUD than from the outside, Spider-Man keeps taking off his mask. Will Smith is going to want his face to be seen. WB and Marvel aren't going to pay millions of dollars to these actors and actresses just to have their faces covered. Sad, but true. I guess in hindsight, that makes V for Vendetta a real outlier when it comes to Comic Book Adaptations. I think that may be Hugo Weaving more than Anything, dude seems fine with having his face covered. Side note, Croc looks like a bobblehead.

I agree, The Costumes are terrible, As a rag tag team of untrained, disposable merchs going on missions they never get time to train for they should really be wearing bright primary colored spandex outfits.... Considering most of these characters don't wear spandex in the comics anyway. The best looking one is Katana and that is the most closely looking like the comics. Capt. Boomerang isn't far off from the comics but looks wrong. At any rate my issue isn't that they don't look like the comics, it is that they seem to lack personality. it is like they were all in the Daredevil movie and went to Kingpin and said "I want a costume" and got the same results as when Bullseye did that. They are just bland and don't stand out. And it makes me think we are getting a dark movie where you cannot see what is going on. I also am assuming it will have a blueish tint to everything as well. I think the other issue is that Arrow and Flash have done a great job of keeping the spirit of many costumes without resulting to spandex.

The argument for realism in comic book movie costumes is kinda weird anyway. You'll accept that they can break the laws of physics, but their outfits looking kooky is a bridge too far?

Looks great. Can't say I'm surprised by the reaction here. Legitimate question, and in on way knocking your opinion; but how does it look great? I can maybe see passable. They look weird and different, which is what I want from a group of super villains that are weird and different. Harley, Enchantress and Croc are obvious standouts. Katana also looks great, certainly better than... {Spoiler}The Arrow version

DC Cinematic Universe. Our motto is "What's a color palette?"
Other than that, it looks fine.

Boomerang could of easily had his hat and for whatever reason Harley's shoes are annoying me but I'm more concerned with the acting.

I feel like that statement would have had a lot more weight maybe five years ago, but I think the Dark Knight trilogy and Winter Soldier (and to a lesser extent, Daredevil) have all proved there's middle ground between being grounded in realism and being faithful to the adapted source.

HD version of the pic Looking at it in higher resolution, I actually like some, if not most of the outfits. Alright so I'm not familiar with most of the characters in this picture, I'll give my assessment. Dreadlocks, Trenchcoat, Swamp Lady, Evil Duke from G.I. Joe, Lollipop Chainsaw(Okay I know its Harley ), Black Deadpool, Crusty Joe, Angry Prison Gang Guy Who Always Gets Tattoos On His Face, and Lady Storm Shadow. But really, I have nothing to base my opinions on and nobody here looks to offensive to my tastes, so I'll wait for some trailer action before I start to judge.

I think they look ok. Croc might look a little goofy though. I'll have to wait to see him in action first though.
But really, most costumes look dumb as heel at the start. I mean Age of Ultron had one of Micahel Bay's unused transformers as its villain, so this isn't really any worse.

I think the thing I hate most about any of these is Harley's tattoos, but I've never been too keen on tattoos on females.

Just going by the Justice League Unlimited equivalent of the Suicide Squad, Task Force X, I can understand the outfits being bland like that...as they were to be more "team" like and casual.
As proven with the Deadshot outfit with mask, there's gonna be a bit of time with them in "costume" as it were...maybe not all of them but still.
Curious to see what they'll do with Harley's outfit pre-Squad, if anything.

I see Harley Quinn has been shopping at the AJ Lee section of Hot-Topic. Costumes aside.... HARLEY QUINN IS GOING TO BE IN A LIVE ACTION MOVIE!!!!!! *faints* The fact that my country has provided the world with it's first big-screen Harley Quinn may save it from being annexed once Demented completely overloads and starts seeking world domination through groin kicks.
