How often does anybody bring up the 4th or so best of a small division? That would be like expecting ESPN to talk about the backup center of the Patriots in 1997 every time the Patriots play a current day game. It's not "ignoring" if there's no relevant reason to bring it up. It seems to me like her absence from WWE programming does seem a bit conspicuous. She used to be in a lot of the video packages they'd show when they were referencing the past. These days you barely get a glimpse of her.

I still find it funny how much of a downgrade Test went from about to marry Steph to competing in the T.I.T. Wasn't that between E&C and the Hardyz? How was Test involved? Think there might be some confusion between T.I.T and T&A.

Outside of of being Marlena (which she was great at), she was as interchangeable as any other woman on the roster. Right amount of acclaim.

Wasn't that between E&C and the Hardyz? How was Test involved? Think there might be some confusion between T.I.T and T&A. Yep. One's top and bottom. The other's just the top. How are things between her and Goldust now? Good enough for her to accompany him to the ring on a special occasion? Even if there are some issues between her and Stephanie I'm sure they could be worked out for a one time appearance. Imagine a big Goldust Wrestlemania entrance starting with her sauntering out, cigar in hand. Or possibly on the side of Stardust for maximum evilness.YAAASSS! Stardust with Marlena during his feud with Goldust would have been GOLD! ALL of the puns intended! I understand the sentiment that she wasn't exactly a standard bearer for the Divas, so there's no exceptional reason for acknowledgement. On the other hand, the Divas that actually WERE treated like a big deal were few and far inbetween. About nine, to be exact: Moolah, Alundra, Sunny, Sable, Trish, Lita, Mickie, AJ, and the Poochy of the Divas herself, Stephanie McMahon. That little of a pool, there's bound to be some feelings about the ones that don't get mentioned, and that's okay. I liked Terri; more than a lot of other non-wrestling Divas. I don't think it's a sin to ask why she doesn't get a lot more love.

This is a weird thread. What's there to acknowledge about her?

I mean, Terri was hot in her day and all that. But she was a glorified rat. She got her job in WCW by sleeping with Big Dust, and then traded up (or down in some's opinion) to Little Dust, and she got her job in WWF because she and Dustin were attached at the hip, and Vince had/has this really unsettling obsession with humiliating the Rhodes Family. And honestly, after her days as Marlena were over in mid-to-late '97, what did she do that was really important or memorable? Nobody cares about the E&C/Hardyz feud starting over Terri's services, PMS was terrible, her feud with the Kat was atrocious, and I seriously cannot remember what she did from WrestleMania 2000 until...(reads Wikiepedia) HOLY SHIT SHE WAS THERE UNTIL 2004? f***ing what? Also, as somehow almost every non-wrestling woman involved with the wrestling business in the 90's has proven, she may actually be clinically insane. She dated New Jack, and after they broke up, NEW JACK LOOKED SANE. NEW JACK. LOOKED SANE.

The bulk of the material Terri was involved in does not fit the current WWE image/gameplan. She was involved with Goldust, a character too controversial for them to properly revisit today (besides vaguely saying how unothodox and wacky he was), and after that every angle she did had a sexual edge to it and/or she was showing off her cleavage or butthole. I think that's why she never gets mentioned.

I remember her most for not wearing a bra so King could make jokes about the arena being cold. Can't see them referencing that.

I just liked the fact she's been involved with the business for a long time and always seemed dedicated to the cause. I also liked stories about she and Ivory being ringleaders of the Divas during the Attitude Era. I acknowledged Terri in my own special way every time she was onscreen. Please do not go there. No one needs to know about your personal habits. Usually, I'd wholeheartedly agree. But I think a lot of people, perhaps even everyone knows wants to know what the Big Bad Booty Daddy has been up to.

She was great but it's hard to show clips of her in PG wwe when you could see her nipples throughout 90% of her appearances

I thought she was pretty decent with Goldust and later Saturn, she just was never a big player, and that's fine, really. Hell, probably her biggest profile feud was with The Kat, and it isn't like that was any kind of technical masterpiece.

How has no one brought up The York Foundation. That alone deserves a Hall Of Fame induction.

I never once implied she should get mentioned every week, or be in the Hall of Fame or anything to that extreme but my point was in terms of stuff on WWE.COM such as divas lists or galleries, even the alumni section, or countdowns and video packages, shes not nearly as acknowledged as some of the other interchangable divas, despite longevity in the business and actually being pretty business smart and savvy, a good actress, good looking, good valet, she could talk, host, interview and was a hell of a bumper. Other than being unable to wrestling she was an all rounder, but shes one that kind of gets shifted to the side. I think people like Candice Michelle or them lot get more love. Like I say, she wasnt a star as a Sable or a Sunny but she actually played her role really well. Yet shes never even made a one time appearance since leaving, despite probably fitting in well in a few angles involving GD and SD.
Just my opinion anyways, she was a "secondary diva" that did well for what she could and never tried to be anything more than she could. Considering she was with the company the longest of any diva at 8 years (apart from Layla taking that spot now at 9 years) shes not even got a section in the alumni on the website and I always found her absence strange and this I guess explains it a little more. I just wasnt aware there was ever any kind of heat on her departure. It was always played up as mutual.
As for her and Dusty and GD, they have a great family relationship she cant put each over enough, they just had a very bad relationship in the early 90's when Terri began dating Dustin, think that changed when the daughter was born, who is now 21. Even the Goldust/Marlena coming out vignettes were kayfabed and Dusty and them were on good terms while that storyline was airing.
She quit WCW as Alexandra York because of Dusty and thier heat but continued working for WCW as a make up artist, so at least then she was still in the business but Dusty wasnt her boss. She quit that when she became pregnant and that was 1993. So the woman did work around the wrestling business from 1985-2004 with a break between 1994-1995 while having the baby before showing up as Marlena in January 1996, a character that was entirely her idea, the whole concept - so she wasnt your fairweather bimbo diva who was looking for the next hollywood break as some of them where, and her run is a pretty long stretch even if it wasnt always an on air character. Much longer than your Ashley's, Candice's and Kaitlyn's
Was just a thought of course, and I understand why people would think otherwise too.

Aside from having a 60 year old's face on a 20 year old's body, I really cant think of anything memorable about her WWF tenure.

Once she stopped being Marlena she only really had two things to offer, in an era where every woman on the roster could offer that.
I'd say she's mentioned about as often as she should be - basically as the answer to the trivia question 'how did the first tag team ladder match in the WWF occur?'
She is to the TLC story what Steve Doll is to the nWo's.

Considering some of the people in the Hall of Fame she is more deserving of recognition then they are.

"Got weird with Steph"? That explains a lot, as that's why we had to wait for Randy Savage ;-)
/Either that or she has New Jack taint on her. //Seriously, she was nice when I met her at an indy show.

Ehhh not too much Duke Droese acknowledgement either...
Either way we all agree that she was actually flirting with Stephs ex, right?
