Corpus Christi has a lot of heat on these boards.

That's something they should do more now that they have the Network. I'd air all the house shows from the big markets on a cheap production budget. One or two cameras, limited graphics on-screen, house show set.

I'd be guessing the IC title will be up for grabs.

What the hell did that town do to deserve this? One of my least favorite wrestling cities right there.

Corpus Christi has a lot of heat on these boards. They are one of the deadest crowds in WWE History on a consistent basis.

As long as Orlando is getting the Rumble, I'm happy.

Also, it should be noted there is another house show set in Greenville, SC on the same date at 1:00PM ET.
Advertised to appear in Corpus Christi: Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Big Show, Bray Wyatt, Ryback, Sheamus.
Advertised to appear in Greenville: John Cena, Rusev, Luke Harper, The New Day, Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, King Barrett.
It might be possible to fly in some talent from Greenville into Corpus Christi in a clutch, but I wouldn't exactly expect the tag team titles to be defended.

Between this and King of the Ring's sudden promotion, what the hell is going on at WWE HQ lately?

The only thing Corpus Christi has ever been good for is ducking the Baltimore Staircase.

They should have done it in San Antonio even WWE sees them as an A city an the last RAW/PPVS held there ranged from good to great.

So one of the top stars has an uncertain future due to injuries piling up, and two of the top NXT acts are down due to shoulder injuries as well...
So the WWE responds by hot-shotting an Elimination Chamber event just two weeks before a ladder match event.

I like how the saving-face explanation for moving the Elimination Chamber entirely to keep from having to pay Brock was that it was too impractical and expensive to trot out for nothing, yet now they're doing it on a house show.

From WWE.com. A tag team EC sounds awesome. They need teams, this explains the sudden creation of the Mega Jobbers and the ironic appearance of the Ascension tonight.
