One thing nearly everyone who watched the E:60 WWE doc can agree on is that the story of Ray Leppan (Leo Kruger, Adam Rose)is an excellent one. More people actually care about this man more from that 1 show than they have in his entire WWE career. His story is real, his miracle child, it's all just so heart-warming and easy to get behind.
And...a week later, he's not even on RAW.
So, did the 'E do this to just bury him? Or, is the Adam Rose character basically dead and they are leaving him off of TV for a "reset"?

I see it as they realize the character wasn't connecting so they are giving him time to do a reset. They let the E60 show come out which gives support which can help the him when they re-debut him again.
I think he could definitely use some time off to retool before going back in front of the live audience.

I don't think he's appeared on Raw in weeks anyway.

Hopefully he's just off TV so they can rejig the character, give him some more credibility. The guy deserves to succeed, and I think fans will latch onto him if he's less of a joke.
By the way, that means no Kruger either, because that character was just as lame, in a completely different way. Look at how well Kevin Owens has done with his "I'm just providing for my family" gimmick, that's something they need to try and work in for Ray Leppan (without it just being a copy of Owens).

I hate that I can't read his name normally anymore. It's always in LittleKuriboh's tone of "ADAM ROOOOOOOOOSE!".

Don't kid yourself, the E:60 program wasn't some big ratings hit, so not a lot of people will care for Rose any more than before.

The fans that will actually care for the character. And, if the casual or non-fan watched E:60, I would assume they would root for that character. I mean, who watches that doc and doesn't want to get behind that guy?

Not to mention, I'm sure a lot of people who watched it, watched it because it was either on ESPN or they are a fan of the E:60 series. I think you're overestimating this a bit.

In the end it is mainstream acknowledgement, which can go a long way in WWE. They can now say that their guy was featured on ESPN.

It was a heartwarming story, but I know people that work at McDonalds with heartwarming stories that are great people too. It doesn't mean they get an automatic promotion.

This was filmed in late 2013 early 2014. This was not meant to bury him. You like him now but do the casual Raw audience like him the way you do? Most likely not.

I don't see what in that E60 made him so compelling. Yeah, he's a wrestler, he works hard, he's got a family. That's...so many wrestlers. I really loved the special, but I loved it because of the insight it gave into the lives of all big-time pro wrestlers on the cusp, and not just how this one guy has an incredible story.

It just reminds me of when Darren Young "came out" on TMZ. People were talking about him, mostly in a positive light. He was news!
Then, he was just held off of TV. Why not promote these guys when Mainstream Media puts them in a positive light? (I mean "promote" as in put on TV, not necessarily "promote" to a main event)

For some reason I imagine WWE capitalizing on Ray Leppan being on E60 by having his son become one of the Rosebuds when Adam Rose returns to TV. "Come on Maverick, we're getting some Mexican food after my match. Don't be such a party pooper!"

Why not promote these guys when Mainstream Media puts them in a positive light? (I mean "promote" as in put on TV, not necessarily "promote" to a main event) Actually WWE did give the Prime Time Players a bit of a push after Young came out. But then WWE decided to break them up. One would assume they were planning on pushing Young as a singles wrestler after that, but he ended up getting injured. So it's not like WWE purposely took Young off TV, or refused to promote him for whatever reason.
