Got my pre order in the other day for the Amazon comic bundle. This will be the first Witcher I've played, but I've heard it's made so that the first two aren't requisite. I'm excited.
Also excited to have MONTHS of game play ahead of me out of this and ESO next month.

Really wish I had the money for a PS4 right about now. I adore the Witcher series. I don't know why, because honestly the actual gameplay is really not that great (although it got vastly more accessible in TW2) and it doesn't even really translate the world and atmosphere of the novels over that well. It's such a unique experience, especially for a fantasy RPG, I can't even think of anything else like it. I mean how many games give you the option to craft a potion whose only purpose is to temporarily make your blood poisonous to vampires so you can assassinate one by pretending to be seduced by her and letting her bite you after sex?

I hope this doesn't leave me cold like Dragon Age: Inquisition did.

I'm only an hour in, but I'm yet to love (or even really like) anything about the game. I'm obviously not going to give up on it anytime soon, but I do hope something grabs my attention in the near future.

I go to play today, and there is an update. No big deal I think to myself. After the update my save file is gone. No auto save, no manual save. That's garbage. I was only an hour in, so probably not the biggest deal... But between being underwhelmed already and now this barely want to play anymore at all.

This game is fantastic.
It's like if Skyrim had good writing.
Or like if Inquisition had good quest design.

My game is so fxxxing buggy (saves disappearing/reappearing, saves not loading, graphics badly flickering in & out, shadows and trees just appearing out of nowhere), and whenever I do get a chance to play I don't like it all... Basically seems like "Go there do that, now go there. NOW... You go over there LOL!" Dang...I thought this would be a winner. Guess I'm waiting for Elder Scrolls Online and Arkham Knight for my next beloved game.

From what I've read, most people that are experiencing the bugs after installing the day 1 patch have solved the problems with a hard reset. I wouldn't know as I pre ordered my game from Amazon and STILL DON'T HAVE IT.

I took 3 days off work for Witcher 3. I got about an hour into it when I remembered I really didn't get into Witcher 2 for a few weeks. It definitely takes some time to get the ins and outs down again. Combat seems tighter and the VOs are as good as ever.

I sat down to give this a try yesterday and by the time I checked the clock again it was 9 hours later. Good thing I took some time off work. A funny bug that I had after meditating for a while is that everyone was standing around with their arms out, and their heads were next to their bodies horizontally moving around. It was hilarious to watch two guys having a sword fight without moving their bodies and their heads spinning around crazily.

FINALLY got my game but, unfortunately, have to wait until after work to play it tonight. Honestly can't be mad at amazon about the delay though as I got my game, albeit 2 days late, was refunded the full purchase price for the delay AND given a $30 promotional balance. In order to ensure I lose ALL my time, I put the balance toward a pre order of Elder Scrolls Online and the rest for b-day stuff for my daughter.

I should start ordering my games from them and hoping they're late!

I really want this game but I'm giving it a few more weeks until the honeymoon period is over and people's honest thoughts come out. I got burned by Inquisition which everyone said was fantastic at the time but has since gone on to face some sizable backlash on a lot of different websites. Rightfully so, IMO, but that doesn't get me my money back.
