I Got Called Sir 3 Times for Taking a Piss in a CVS

So I'm in Jamaica Plain, MA and have to go real bad. However I have pick someone up in a little bit so I can't venture too far. I walk about 5 minutes from the location and...no luck. Then I go the other way and see a CVS (that I should've remembered was there). I think, "Great CVS! They practically live to let people urinate!"

So I ask the girl upfront if there is a bathroom. She says not a public one, but we'll have someone help you, sir. She calls the manager who types in a code that lets me into the back. Right this way, sir. After the deed I thank him and he says, you're welcome, sir.

Really if you have to piss in a metro area CVS is tough to beat. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had 6 paper towels ready to use (surprisingly no Taco Bell nearby). I highly recommend it.

So, it wasn't along the lines of "Sir, please stop... sir, please stop urinating on the carpet... sir, if you don't stop we will call the police!"

I take it that you're from an area where it's strangely uncommon for people to call you sir? Because if not, the story sounds quite normal.

Meh, not that uncommon in MA. I was just surprised how nice the staff was. Like I said I was just taking a piss, not buying anything. If you think about it, it's almost like I was being called sir for taking a piss. Or thanked for taking a piss. A lot of times when you go into stores (especially in northeast metropolitan areas as has been my experience) they make you buy something, say it's staff only or just don't have a bathroom. But at CVS? Well, it was delightful
